Oh the trip sounds fabulous! So sorry the work crisis clashed with it - I guess though understanding the new situation needs some thinking through on next steps
Is OH thinking of staying with them with this travel. Maybe time for a break - you are MF for a reason - you have more choices
Your MIL sounds lovely 😟 I get it’s sad but it’s a natural progression and part of lifeDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Hi Lady, he still doesn’t know what he’s doing. He had a zoom meeting yesterday where they only wanted to talk about the factory, apparently they will get back to him about the job! Unbelievable 😳 still they have sent notice of wanting to vacate in six months time and say they will pay what they are supposed to so I guess I’ll work out a budget in that for the moment 🤷♀️
I’ve been very busy, lots of unpacking, washing ,cleaning and meeting up with friends for coffee as it’s my birthday tomorrow 😁 I’m very tired a a bit grumpy if I’m honest so it’s an early night and a bit of tv for me this evening. The finances and money shuffle for the month need doing too, but I’ll need to stay awake 😆MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁8 -
