I have been doing some decluttering today. 5 skirts, a cardigan and a nightie will be going to a chazzer. My husband's clothes are too wrecked so they will go to textile recycling. I need to dye some of his clothes back to black when the fabric dye arrives later. I also ordered a defrizzing product for my hair that is coming today too.
Our wardrobes after decluttering. I have another wardrobe with winter stuff and all my boots, shoes and sandals obviously too.

You must be so proud of your family @sugarbaby125. Your baby granddaughter is just gorgeous and beautifully turned out to meet you too. 😊
I suppose that guy at Blackfriars Settlement might have HMH issues. But he could just be arrogant and rude.🤔🤣
Your wardrobes look really neat @Wednesday2000. You must feel a great sense of achievement. Lots of blue clothes. 😉
I remember when I first did MK on all my tops. I kept opening the drawer just to look at them. I have them arranged in rainbow order with black and white at the end. Now, when I wash/iron a top, I automatically fold it MK style for the drawer.
The weather is so much more pleasant than it was at the start of the week. It's given me a burst of energy to do some house fabbing. I've washed all the loose covers from the sitting room sofas in the past couple of days, so they're looking pristine. Today is a perfect drying day as there's a bit of a breeze. Sitting room curtains are on the line. Shame about all the ironing.
I was thinking about the 'splashback' for your utility sink @liberty_lily . Perhaps you could use a vintage tray or washboard?
I'm still plodding away at getting my holiday weight gain off. I think I'm winning! 😁6 -
Hello Ladies,
Thank you for your comments about my Great-granddaughter (my grandson's daughter). I know I am biased, but she is beautiful.
Maman, that man had a terrible head injury in the past and I also think he has mental health issues all of which can have a negative impact on his behaviour. Normally he is placid and very sociable with everyone in the group. It could simply have been the extreme heat getting to him. We all just have a lot of patience with him.
I have been reading some more pages of my copy of The Playwright's Process. I intend to finish it this week. It will give me more tools to write some more of my play in the coming weeks It is all so fascinating to me. There is so much preparation work that comes before you write your first draft of your play, but I am excited rather than daunted.5 -

True! Maman.
My husband's dyed clothes came out okay. He still has what looks like a bleach stain on the t-shirt though. I have no idea how he keeps getting bleach on his clothes as it isn't like he does a lot of cleaning! I don't know if it is some chemical at his work.
I have the donation bag ready to go to the chazzer today. I was just saying that my kitchen is annoying me as it has worse storage than my old kitchen. I bought a second hand dark wooden shelf, but that didn't even seem to help. I think I will look at small kitchen storage solutions on Pinterest today.
I realised the defrizzing spray was for curly hair, but I will still try and use it on my hair. I'm about to have a shower, wash my hair and then try it out.:)

Sugarbaby, your new great granddaughter is a real sweetie - it must have been lovely to meet her at last 😊 Sorry to hear you were verbally attacked at your Blackfriars Settlement meeting 🙁 You made the right decision to let him have his rant and let Adonis deal with things, imho.
Wednesday, your wardrobes look super-organised! Hopefully we are heading in the right direction with storage/organisation here too - on Saturday I ordered some baskets for the floor-to-ceiling shelving DH built in our newly reconfigured upstairs hallway a while back. Currently it has ikea (dronas?) boxes that we had in the office at our last house but these don't suit the current location (and became a little battered whilst in storage during our protracted move in 2018) so are long overdue for replacement. This morning I had notification that the baskets are on their way 🙂
Maman, thank you for the suggestion for our little laundry splashback - that's a great idea and definitely worth considering 😊
Chanie, you are making great progress with your DS's room!
Our living room reconfiguration work progressed further over the weekend - DH has now got the walls for lobby and cloakroom framed out and plasterboarded on one side (the other side will be done once the services are in place). We can now really see how the spaces will be used - it's going to be such a massive improvement and I'm ridiculously excited to be finally getting a second toilet again after four years without 😀 I realised that out of the seven houses we've owned over the years, this is the first one that's only had one loo - two of them had four which was useful but not much fun for me having to clean them all, lol!!!
My paint samples came from Edward Bulmer too and I think we're now in agreement over which colour to pick for the living room - just need to think about a co-ordinating colour for the wall of cupboards we'll be adding at one end 😉

Good afternoon lovely ladies.SUgarbaby.......Lovely photo of your new granddaughter, she's a cutie.Wednesday.....your wardrobe looks fab, beautifully neat and organised. You can come and do mine. I will definitely do a major declutter before I move. I did do all the summer stuff but I want to tackle the winter wear. I've held off because I know that most charity shops have limited storage space, another couple of weeks and then I'll get cracking.Had my hair cut this Morning. My usual girl was on holiday so I tried someone else. She was such a nasty piece of work. Before I even sat down She announced she doesn't talk she likes to get on with her work. Fair enough but she's clearly doesn't like her work. Even her body language was sulky, let alone her facial expression. Then, to make matters worse, she was absolutely furious when I came to pay.As a senior I get a 20% discount on Mondays and Tuesday, common practice in many salons. I don't know if she hadn't realised that but she started arguing with the salon owner in front of me. So embarrassing. She even complained to me that she was "self employed". I know full well most stylists have "a chair" and that they are therefore technically self employed.By this time I was quietly seething. She was very rude and obviously felt hard done by so was taking it out on the customers. I had heard her insisting that a previous customer paid in cash rather than by card so I paid in cash.Usually I pay by card and then give the stylist a cash tip so as to ensure she receives it personally. I know that because the salon gives discounts to seniors then obviously the stylists cut is less than they would get for a full price customer. So I tend to look after my stylist or masseuse and make sure I always tip them.Anyway she kept the small change from my cash payment which really annoyed me. So I'm afraid she forfeited a decent tip. She ended up with 40p instead of the more generous tip I normally give. Her greed ended up costing her.And the icing on the cake.....it's the worst hair cut I have ever had in my life. You gotta laugh. At least it will grow out. It could have been worse, it could have been a disastrous dye job, 😂🤣.6

I want to keep my old mobile hairdresser from Essex (I mean she isn't old, just from my old house, lol) but I don't know if the drive here will be too much for her and not worth it.
Funny story, there is a hairdresser near my house, but I saw a girl come out of there saying "They ruined my hair, I'm devastated", lol, not funny for her obviously, but I might give that place a swerve!2025 GOALS
