@helensbiggestfan. I hope the coming months are more positive for you. It sounds like you have lots of plans. The events in Ukraine are so sad, not only for them, but also for the people of Russia who will be affected by the sanctions. My childrens school were donating items to send to Ukraine and were overwhelmed with donations. We bought some items including hats and blankets to donate.6

The situation in Ukraine is truly dreadful. The man is nothing but a murderous psychopathic megalomaniac. Another Hitler. I just hope he can be stopped soon, but as he has no regards for his own people, I can't see sanctions being enough. He would rather his own people starved and bleed his country dry than give in.8

I have had Covid and so has my husband. We probably caught it when we went out for my birthday as Westfield and the O2 were both very busy, but who knows really. We both felt quite ill and had high temperatures for a few days last week. I still have a cough now, but feel much better today.
Not much fabbing going on here as that is the last thing on my mind at the moment!6 -
@Wednesday2000 sorry to read you and your DH have covid, thank goodness it was mild. I have the sniffles, but negative LTF. A colleague was telling me that lots of people are testing positive at the moment, but I don’t know anyone who has tested positive recently.

Hello Ladies,
Wednesday I hope you and your husband will be fully recovered soon. Thank goodness both of you had quite mild symptoms.
We are half way through March and I am so surprised at how mild it has been in London throughout the 1st half of March. I have had numerous days this month when I have not needed to put the central heating on, so I am using a lot more Gas this month than I had budgeted for.I hope the dry, warm weather continues.

Thanks guys.
I keep hearing about lot of people testing positive for Covid too. I think the worst thing for me was trying to sleep at night as I had a fever and was very congested for about 3 nights. I kept having nightmares and then waking myself up hearing my chest rattling when I was breathing. I looked online and it said to sleep on your stomach to help you breathe but I found that too uncomfortable.
I slept in until midday today. I'm going to sleep as much as I can to catch up. I had a hot bath, used a body scrub and shaved my legs. I feel almost back to normal now.
I redid my monthly budget again and I realised it is £75 a month cheaper than last year because my dog died so we don't have his insurance payment each month. My other dog has pet insurance too but we managed to get hers reduced. I still haven't found out how much the electric bill is going up by though.
It is really lovely weather at the moment. I might sit out in the garden for a while.

Wednesday....sorry to hear you've been so poorly with covid. Hope you feel better soon. Sitting out in the warm sunshine is just what you need. It's been lovely and the forecast looks good for the next few days too. It's good we have been able to reduce the ch at last. The increases are really quite scary and it's not over yet. Apparently October will see prices rise again.
I've just had an email from EDF, no final figures yet but their estimate is an additional £800 per year. (Not counting Octobers rise). I read somewhere that the average household could be paying £3k a year.......,then of course there's petrol and food prices which are escalating too. I do think a lot of people are going to go under. My fabbing will have to be "cheap and cheerful". Haircuts only at the salon, everything else will have to be DIY. Good job I like nothing more than a good rummage round the chazzers. 😉.6 -
Today I received an email from The Young Vic to confirm that I have secured a place on the Neighbourhood Voices programme for 2022/2023 to write a play
Words can not adequately express my mixture of terror and delight, at the thought of becoming a playwright, but nothing ventured, nothing gained. I will not regret taking part, no matter the outcome for me.
I begin with my 1st Saturday session on 26th March 2022 which will be a zoom session.
Wish me luck ladies. I am going to need it.
