Hello Ladies,
It is just so lovely to have the sun shining in March. I have hardly needed to use my central heating this month, which is saving me quite a lot of money.
If the weather forecasters are correct about the heat wave we will experience in April, then I will be getting out my Factor 50 sun lotion and my sandals.
Today I am really happy after receiving my Council Tax bill for 2022/2023 and finding out that I am receiving 100% Council Tax Support, so I have zero to pay!!!

Hello Ladies. It is very quiet on here.
It is like summer today in east London. We have got sent the searches for our house sale that we have to fill in and send back. This house is so agonisingly slow, it's unbelievable. We just feel like we are saving so much money with all the delay (which is good, I suppose) but at this point we have far more than we need! It is getting ridiculous now.
I have still been feeling a bit ill due to catching Covid. We have quite bad coughs still. They make us sound like we are smokers! My sister-in-law and her son both had it too the same week as us and she says they both feel quite ill. One of them has a really bad headache which doesn't seem to be going away.
I have had two deaths in the family in the past two months. I am not close to most of my family but I probably will attend the funeral of the person who has recently died as he used to live with me when I was younger. Both were only early 60's which seems so young to die. My husband is 52 this year.
I am going to look for a pair of sunglasses as I would like a nice pair to wear. I have cheap ones but I might look for a designer pair on ebay.
I really need to go and look around the chazzers for some summer stuff as it is quite bizarre how nice the weather is at this time of year.:) I really don't have enough summery clothes.

Hello Ladies,
It was so warm here in South East London, so I was able to wear my pink Calvin Klein sunglasses and a pair of my black Van Dal leather sandals when I went out today.
Unfortunately, I stumbled when I was walking in the building for Blackfriars Settlement and one of the straps on the right sandal came away from the main part of the sandal. It does not look as if a repair would hold, so that is a favourite pair of my Van Dal sandals ruined. Such a shame, as they would have got a lot of wear in the coming days.
I will have to go though my other pairs of sandals and see which ones to get ready to wear. Even though I keep all of my sandals and shoes in shoe boxes, they sometimes need a quick dust and polish.
I am going to give myself a pedicure tomorrow as my toes will be on show and my toe nails need attention. I am not sure what colour to paint my to nails.
On Friday I am going to Andover to visit family. I am really looking forward to it. We are celebrating Mother's Day 2 days early and it is my Grandson's partner's 21st birthday on the 30th. I have wrapped all of the Mother's Day presents for the 2 of them and also her birthday presents. As my daughter and son are coming to Andover as well, I will get them to carry the heavier presents.

@Wednesday2000 how exciting things are moving on with your new home. Hopefully, you will be in to enjoy the summer.
@s@sugarbaby125 i hope you enjoy your trip to Andover, tomorrow.
I have been quite busy with work these past few weeks, but I think I’m over the worst of it, so will be looking forward to a slower pace for a while.
Last week, I went out for dinner with some friends who I used to work with. It was lovely to see them as we hadn’t seen each other since before the pandemic. It was strange going into Central London, as the last time I went was nearly 6 months ago, when I was working in my last job. I can’t say I missed the commute though. I did really badly on the fabbing front though - I wanted to dress up, but I was so busy with work that I didn’t have time to do so between finishing work and travelling into Central London. It was very busy in Central London and the pandemic seems like a distant memory.
I have just had my second quote in for our loft extension today. I nearly fainted when I saw the first quote. This second one is much more aligned to what we were thinking in terms of price. I’m getting quite excited now that we are getting the ball rolling and we are hoping to get the works completed over the summer.7 -
Hello Ladies,
Yesterday I spent the whole day visiting family in Andover. I went to visit my older daughter, my son-in-law, my grandson and his partner and my Great-grandson. It is so lovely to have 4 generations in the same room having a good time together.
My Great-grandson ran towards me, he gave me a lovely cuddle and kiss. He has so much personality now that he is walking, running and beginning to speak.
My younger daughter, my younger son and I played Yahtzee. I had not played it for decades but I refreshed my memory with the rules of the game and we all had fun. Then I played a new adult card game Cards Against Humanity with 4 adults in the family. It is a risque card game, but we all had a right laugh playing it.
My daughter cooked home made southern fried chicken boneless chicken thighs, hot and spicy chicken wings and macaroni cheese for everyone. She also made a mixed salad and had some Lidl premium coleslaw for those who wanted it. She gave me some of the leftovers, so no need for me to cook on Mother's Day tomorrow.
I gave my older daughter and my grandson's partner their Mother's Day gifts and cards yesterday and they opened them yesterday, so that I could take photographs of them and their reactions to the personal words in their cards and their gifts.
My older daughter, looking so fabulous and my Great-grandson. He is so tall already.
