Hello Ladies.
I did some pampering today. I had a hot bath, defuzzed, used a pore strip, used some under eye pads, a deep moisturiser and did a calming meditation lying on my bed afterwards.
I did finally sign up to the Curable app (I read about that app years ago!) to see what it was like but I didn't really find it that relevant as I'm not in chronic pain anymore. I did like the meditations though and I think I will carry on with them, but just look for free ones on YouTube. The Curable app has a free 14 days trial so I will use their meditations until it runs out.
We paid for the survey to be done on the house we want. As far as I know everything is still going through, it is just insane how long we have been waiting. It will be 9 months next month.
My birthday is next week. I am going for a meal and drinks one night and then to a concert in central London the night after.
I did buy a few bits from George (nothing terribly exciting!) and I just went through our wardrobes again to declutter. My husband did take a bag to a charity shop this week as well as another trip to the dump. I don't know where it all comes from.
I think I might finally get around to buying a fitbit too. I keep thinking I am going to be walking a lot more when I live by the sea as it will just be a nicer environment to walk in than east London!

Helen lots of children are obsessed with Encanto, which on Disney. I’ve had to put up with DD singing ‘we don’t talk about Bruno-no-no-no’ for ages now.Sugar thanks for the heads up with the cinema offer.
As my children are in different schools (one in primary and one in secondary), some of their holidays are different, so DS was on half term last week and DD was off this week. They’ve been good, whilst they’ve been off and I’ve been working from home, but I’m pleased they are both back at school from next week.I told today that I’m keen to book our summer holiday soon. I think we are going to stick to the Mediterranean, but I’m really looking forward to a bit of sun, sand and sea, after two years of lockdown.5 -
Hello Ladies,
I have had an unpleasant evening. I cooked a jumbo king prawn, rice, onion, petit pois and sweetcorn stir fry for dinner for myself and my 2 children. I had barely finished eating when I had an immediate and very nasty breakout of hives. The worst thing is that it left my scalp itchy and sore, my face and neck, chest and my back had hives popping up so fast, I had to take 2 of my antihistamine tablets double quick. It took more than 30 minutes before the hives begun to stop being so sore and itchy. For the 1st time since I had Covid-19 and began to have these hive outbreaks, hives came up on the left side of my top and lower lip, so it looked as if I had been punched in the mouth!
The deluxe jumbo king prawns have not been available in my local Lidl's for months, so as I had not eaten these prawns for months, I really believe my allergic reaction was to the prawns. As I was in so much pain and distress, I prefer not to eat prawns any more. I can live without them, even though I love them. Better safe than sorry. I am so thankful that I was in my own home. I also had to cover my face and neck again and again in Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel night gel as they were worst affected.6 -
@sugarbaby125 that reaction sounds scary. I hope you are on the mend.

Yes Chanie, after an hour, I was much more comfortable. The hives have not all completely disappeared but they are going. I am hoping for a normal deep sleep later.
It was scary because it was the worst outbreak I have ever had.4 -

hope you are ok Sugarbaby. My youngest Daughter is allergic to prawns. We found out when she tried them aged about 4 or 5 and ended up in hospital. I remember about 5 years ago she went to a restaurant and the special was salmon topped with prawns. She explained her allergy and asked if she could have the dish without the prawns, just salmon and a sauce. She said if they are prepared and you are simply taking the prawns off the top that she didnt want the dish. They spoke to the chef and said no we can do it separate. Within a few minutes of eating it she was violently sick, I think that they had just scooped the prawns off

Sheila that was very irresponsible of that restaurant.
Thank you ladies, everything was completely back to normal when I was going to bed last night. I am so thankful that the Poundland antihistamines work so well.
My sister H was the 1st person in our family to suddenly develop really bad hives attacks, but she suffers much worse than even my outbreak last night. She was referred to a specialist who decided without doing an allergy tests, that the outbreaks which were severe enough with my sister H for her to need a stay in her local hospital were not allergic reactions to food. So they have never discovered what causes her severe hives outbreaks which end up closing her throat through severe swelling resulting her needing aid with her breathing.
When we went to my Aunt's funeral last year together, my sister H started to have an outbreak of hives. I never go anywhere unprepared, so she took 2 of my antihistamines and used my Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Gel and was amazed how quickly her hives completely cleared up. My antihistamines were so much more effective than the far more powerful medication her specialist had prescribed for her, which she had forgotten to put in her handbag she took to the funeral.7
