Thank you!Β We really didn't fancy a trip to Hatton Garden.

Oof - the last time I posted was the day of my mammogram - and I'm delighted to say that the results have come back clear π₯³π₯³ I get to go again next Jan but it is reassuring to know that the lumps I have now are scar tissue from the op/ radiotherapy and not anything more sinister ππ My rational head said that would be the case - but there was that teeny niggle of doubt hanging around until the letter came through! DH was wfh when it arrived and had the go ahead beforehand to open it - the adult kids were under strict instructions NOT to open it, just in case - and he whatsapped me and phone me at work to make sure I knew the result π PHEW!!
Anyway, in money news I did a 1 hour online focus group the other night - about cooking sauces - that should be Β£40 heading my way π I've also got 10 hours of overtime that I should get paid this month - and DH is getting paid a chunky bonus this month!Β (Although obviously loses lot to tax) I've accounted for it all already!! π I'm also due c Β£33 from mileage expenses - but I won't get that until Feb payday, due to cutoff dates.
Work is insanely busy - I'm planning Summer exams and also 3 full sets of internal exams - but without an assistant π© - and there's also Data work on top - I'm honestly surviving, rather than thriving right now. (That's not including all the little extras like maths challenges and admissions tests and MFL mocks and lots of access arrangements for students - argh!)
Anyway, it'll all happen eventually, somehow - it always does.Β
We have a plan for some work to be done in the house this summer - so I need to get on and book someone to come and take a look. I also need to book my car in for a service, the gas fire to be serviced and the youngest 2 to the Opticians. Ooh - and get on with our Summer holiday plans (on hold whilst waiting for mammogram results!)
Life isn't bad - just busy! π xI am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 Β£124616 01/11 Β£89873 01/13 Β£52546 01/15 Β£12133 07/15 Β£NILNet sales 2024: Β£2011 -

Ahh - thank you both πΒ
We've not long finished dinner - we had roast pork (YS), sausage-y stuffing balls (usually I make my own but these were YS to 40p, so too good to miss), pigs in blankets (bought in a pre Xmas offer), roasties (19p Xmas potatoes), roast carrots (19p Xmas carrots), sprouts (again, 19p Xmas veg), red cabbage (bought YS and made to Delia's recipe in Dec and frozen), cauliflower cheese, parsnips (more 19p Xmas veg), Yorkshire puds and apple sauce (and gravy) - very yummy and there are leftovers π DD has already made herself a pork, stuffing and red cabbage sandwich for lunch tomorrow (I've got chicken cooked with garlic, butter and mushrooms and a pile of π₯¦)Β
OohΒ Β I also made wensleydale with cranberries scones - we had over a pack of it left from Xmas and I find it too crumbly if frozen, so I've made some mini savoury-sweet scones for snacks. I'd make them again, but up the amount of cheese.
More Xmas leftovers were consumed yesterday/ today - we were sat at the table after dinner (a YS corn fed chicken from l1dl slowcooked in tomatoes, courgettes, garlic, chilli, onions and peppers and served with rice and crusty bread π) and wanting chocolate. DH offered ro nip out to the smkt to get some - but I went and raided the Xmas choc hiding place and came back with a box of malteeeesers, a tub of the celebratory chocs, a chocolate orange and a bag of chocolate sprouts ππ Ooh - and a bag of buttons, too. S'good to get them eaten, tbh! (Last year the excessΒ chocolate got forgotten about until it was about 4 months out of date - and it didn't taste too good then π)I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 Β£124616 01/11 Β£89873 01/13 Β£52546 01/15 Β£12133 07/15 Β£NILNet sales 2024: Β£207 -

I echo the congratulations on your clear mammogram - you must feel that weight well and truly lifted from your shoulders, and you are in the system to be looked at again next year!
