Thank you! Although it is absolutely hissing it down here right now! βπ§π§ Walk has been abandoned and whites washing is now drying indoors! π
Reading Ed's diary reminded me that I hadn't checked the PB app - Β£75 for me and Β£25 for Mr G - that's his first win πΒ Will all be reinvested in Mr G's name
Checked out prices for Florida holiday next year last night - staying in a villa - approx Β£15.5k for 7 of us for flights in basic economy and basic villa only! π±Β Would ideally like premium economy and to upgrade accommodation slightly. Then there's car hire and park tickets..... (and food, obviously!) However, much better than a hotel - that started at around Β£25k! π±π± DD and her boyfriend will be paying for the flights and park tickets (and their own travel insurance - when we booked ro go in 2020 the travel insce cost us c. Β£550!) as will DS2 if he's got a proper jobStill very ouch-y, though! (Am trying to think of the memories it will make!!)

Well done on the PB win, you'd best have a few more to pay for Florida!Β
In fairness it's probably not that horrific - we were invited on a Spanish holiday with friends this year and a villa big enough for all of us (12) was going to cost Β£10k or so. We didn't go as saving for our loft conversion

Hope you had a good day yesterday. Sorry to hear you have covid.Reading your diary brings back so many memories for me of my cancer treatment. I ended up having my head shaved. I would wake up in the morning with a pile of hair on the pillow. Or during the day would end up with a lump hanging down my back. But gosh I did get hot wearing a wig. My head felt on fire.
You have done well working. I couldnβt manage that I would spend a good while just lying in bed couldnβt be bothered or able to do anything. Now when Iβm feeling a bit off colour I remember back to when I literally had to crawl to the on suite. Thank god for the on suite.ΒI remember so remember when I used to get my son and husband to change the bed clothes. Our fitted sheet is so tight that it was hard getting the corners on and you would get a few on and thought you were home and dry and one would spring off. I would be sat on the floor watching but this did used to make me laugh each time. Just to see them helplessly doing this Iβd be waiting for this to happen, Make the most as you are of your good week I always used to.Things will get easier youβve got this.Keep going.xx2025 Decluttering 10472βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ

Ah - thanks
@Mrs_Money_Penny - yep - I'm trying on my good week to be sociable and do things/ go places (within reason). I chopped my longer hair off to just above chin length just before starting chemo - which was a good move in terms of I've had no matting/ clumping of loose hair. When I've had my last chemo I'm going to buzz it off using the longest grade clipper we have - there's not much left, but I need what there is as insulation against the cold cap! (I can really feel the difference to when I started it with a full head of hair - thankfully I start a different drug today and will only be around 2 houmous in the cap, as opposed to almost 4!)
Chemo today almost didn't happen - my hospital pcr swab on Monday shows I'm still positive for covid - they then dos another test which shows actual levels of how positive I am - by yesterday afternoon they could tell me that my level was ok (just) for today's chemo - which I'm glad about -ni don't want any more delays. In 6 weeks time I plan on having my last dose - I don't want to extend the time again - it's already been extended by 2 weeks! Although I have to say that the difference in my mental clarity from the extra 2 weeks without chemo is amazing - sure, I'm tired still - but covid hasn't helped that at all.
Had a lovely visit from favourite aunt yesterday - 3 hours of chatting about all sortsalso did 3 smkts (Sain, a1d1 and tesc0) for various bits n pieces- think we should be OK for everything until weekend now, when someone can go and get milk, some f&v and a few bits for lunchboxes
Cashed out Β£10 amaz0n voucher from st0rewards - so transferred Β£10 to slush fund (may use this one towards Florida spends!) - also spent Β£75 of n3ctar points so added Β£75 to the account for thatSains till also failed to spit out my 5p off per litre of fuel, too - so after trying and failing a reprint the cashier gave me a Β£5 gift card instead - will tfr that to slush when spent
Old car (usd by kids) has diesel particulate light on again - 200 miles since I had to get it cleared by garage at end of May - for which they charged Β£140 as they did some sort of flush. Have tried and failed to clear it by driving in low gear/ high revs so have rebooted in - not happy and do not expect a charge like last time! Booked in for Monday - DH will do talking with garage when dropping it off/ collecting, as I find chemo makes me too dizzy to drive for a week. Result - he can do any arguing if necessaryΒ
