I mean with the twists and turns this diary has gone through already, we might as well consider moving to New York State :joy:

That house is stunning. Americans must think our houses are like wardrobes  :D

Edit - Definitely not browsing that site now...

Alright, in case some of you are still invested (wouldn't blame you if you'd thrown the towel by now :joy:), here's the latest viewing list. The doer-upper sellers have accepted an offer already, so that one is out of the running. Ah well, saves us a whole lot of work :D

Mr julicorn is viewing this one on his own this evening, because I'm still isolating (but looks like I'll be allowed back out tomorrow, hurray!): https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/120159599#/

Tomorrow, we're starting things off with this viewing which we booked while we were still in Center Parcs, let's call it Livingstone Road 1: https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/119759591#/
Then we're viewing a flat without a garden, but it's comically close to where we live now, so it would have been rude not to see it. I actually do like the look of it a lot, and it's very far under our budget, but the lack of garden is a shame for sure (although atm we're spending a lot more time on the beach and in the park than in our garden, and we will get that allotment at some point to....): https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/120451613#/
We're then viewing a house that we were going to see last weekend already, which is when they had their open house. So it seems like they didn't accept an offer off the back of that... unusual: https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/84004545#/
Aaaaand then another house on Livingstone Road has just been added as well, so we're closing off our excursion with that. We might be the first to go look at that one: https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/120654617#/

It's getting confusing now  :D  sorry!

The brick house ... how unusual to see a brick house in Brighton&Hove!  I'm not sure it looks in as good a condition as the other brick houses nearby.  Check the mortar, how close it is to blowing - my current house is brick, and I've had to have two walls remortared (there were bees lodging in the insulation after drilling through the failing mortar, it wasn't nice.  Damp, in fact).

The flat that's near you ... I can understand the attraction of viewing it, but to be honest, why bother to move?

What else ... oh, the 2nd Livingstone Road one - horror of horrors, it only has one toilet  :D  sorry!

I hope everything works out with the isolating and you can go viewing tomorrow :)

Because we absolutely love our flat, the location and the community we have here, and this one is across the road and over twice the size? I might not understand the question, sorry :joy:

Just catching up Julicorn, I clicked on the doer upper and it said sold stc so I was quickly reading on to find out if you’d worked a miracle! We found it really difficult to even view doer uppers as they are under demand up here, and I imagine everywhere! Good luck with the weekends viewings x

No miracle here yet, but I'm sure one will come along sooner rather than later 🥰 thank you.

The one Mr julicorn viewed was quite nice, but they had 30 viewings today so not sure if we'd get it even if we tried. The views from there were amazing. We'll see how the ones tomorrow compare. I'm feeling much better finally, so will be back out house hunting tomorrow.

Not a flat person usually, but that flat is beautiful  <3. Anywhere else lack of garden would probably bother me, but you have a beach so meh, and think of how quickly you could get that mortgage down!

The one that backs on to the railway. Our house is parallel to the train track, we could literally spit on it from here and we can see the station from our house. We're in a village so not as busy, but the trains really don't bother us at all. I literally have to ask visitors if any have gone past because I blank them out

Either way those are a really nice selection so fingers crossed.
