Hi all,
I hope you are having a lovely day. The last couple of days have been busy working, I feel like I am constantly running around like a mad woman. I'm trying to organise my brain which feels like it has way too much to think about at the moment.
Debt-busting - I have sold a ipad holder for £8 and I have done a couple of surveys on prolific (but I won't count them until I cash out!). Also waiting on money for a lamp I've sold
Food wise - I'm failing miserably this week, cold weather makes me hungry!

You seem to be off to a good start with your year.
Are you able to batch cook and freeze? I do this all the time using yellow sticker items in soups (massive soup pot bought on offer from Mr S - best buy ever !!) or stews etc (big slow cooker given by SIL, great for joints too). Maybe youtube slow cooker dump bags which I've not tried but love the idea of as they look so easy and nothing beats the smell of slow cooker dinner all done for when you get in from work.

It's much easier to eat better in the warmer weather I find. I struggle as well in the winter months. You're doing really well, all those small sales will soon add up ... and less clutter too. Win, winDebt at LBM July 2017 - £42,002 (cards & loans) + £37,421 (2 mortgage consolidations)
Car bought in Dec 2020 - £12,500
Total Debt - £54,502 (£91,923 including mortgage consolidations)
Total Debt Jan '23 - £19,061.56 (credit cards) + £20,562 (mortgage consolidations)
Consolidated debt onto my mortgage twice in the years before LBM, so it's all consumer debt. Just focusing on clearing card debt first and letting the additional mortgages reduce with the monthly payments.DFD (credit cards) - December 2024 (24 months) 🤞🤞🤞

I like the idea of batch cooking - I'm currently living between my house and my boyfriends house so we'd need to be super organised with it. Moving to his at the end of February hence the reason for decluttering and clearing. It will make it so much easier to plan meals knowing where I'll be and not having to worry about flicking between the two!
Oh and got my credit card bill today - I paid £414 off it last monthIf I can do that again it should be clear by the middle of Feb! Then it'll be one debt down and 3 to go!
Just about to sit down and do some crocheting, I hope you all have a lovely Friday eveningDebt busting 2022 Total £15842.68 £0 (100% paid since 1/1/22)- DFD: September 1st 2023[/b]

I'm making a temperature blanket. I've allocated a different colour for every 3 degrees and I try and do a row every evening (although 4 days behind already 😂) the plan is partly to keep me away from internet shopping 😊Debt busting 2022 Total £15842.68 £0 (100% paid since 1/1/22)

I have always fancied a temperature blanket but I wouldn’t be able to keep up or catch up. A blanket takes me years!

I'm feeling a bit downtrodden today. I'm due to be moving in with my partner at the end of next month and I thought I'd try and sort my bank stuff because I'll be tackling the overdraft next. But I have just tried to open a nationwide account that I was going to use for everyday spends and they said no.... I have good credit history, and always make my payments. All I can think is because I had a bad time a few months ago and got couple of loans... would that affect it? I'm not even asking for an overdraft. Am I going to be able to get a joint account with him? He doesn't know what I owe.... Anyway, I'm going to rethink my budgeting plans and use cash instead to make sure I don't overspend. Maybe if I refocus my payments onto my overdraft, that will work in my favour? I just thought I was getting so on top of things!

I always thought they didn’t like you to have 2 banks at once, but I opened a Monzo without any issue. Maybe try an internet one like Monzo or starling and see if that helps? Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
