So i've managed to get all of downstairs hoovered and mopped and have done 3 loads of washing, 2 lots are dry and have been put away and the 3rd lot is still on the line, mostly hoodies so taking a bit longer to dry, did a few surveys and I have also had an email off BT compensating us £55 for not getting our broadband fixed in the allocated time a few weeks ago, this was a nice surprise as we hadn't asked for anything and to be honest as it was during the week and we were at work it didn't really effect us too much.
Had a walk around the garden to see what was left of the summer fruits, raspberries are done and strawberries are flowering for the 2nd time, lots of fruit picked from the blueberry bush and managed to get a small bowl of gooseberries, i have stewed the gooseberries and will have with greek yoghurt and honey for breakfast over the next few days.
Frozen a couple of cinnamon bagels that won't get eaten, i have had them for a snack the past 3 mornings and now bored of them. Coleslaw has been made and also a small dish of potato salad using left over potatoes from last night.

Great news about the compensation!

Morning all, up early and dogs walked, also put a wash on which i have just hung out. Its looking overcast and i'm hoping the weather stays dry.
Nipped to small town to post a parcel and whilst there went to MrS to do a small top up shop to see us through the weekend, came to £13.92 and i used £12.50 in nectarpoints so only needed to part with £1.42 which i had in my purse.
Taken some chicken thighs out of the freezer and some spring rolls for tomorrow nights tea, need to marinade the chicken tomorrow morning and cook some rice to make egg ried rice, tonight we are just having pasta and salad. Also found a pack of sausages i didn't know i had so Friday night can be a breakfast tea as i have loads of eggs and know there is a bag of hash browns lurking.
Banking checked and not much happening as all DD have gone out for the month and i'm trying to be good until payday. Although there will be a small spend tomorrow as i'm going to the cinema with DD, she has bought tickets but i will be buying popcorn which is nearly as expensive as the tickets.
Interest has been paid to our everyday joint savings account not much but good to be getting something back.
Frugal wins-
Nectar points
Freezer finds
Interest to bank account
Think that's all for now.

Morning, grotty weather is back and it just feels like its January not July.
Dogs walked and that is as far as i have got this morning, should do some washing but it's not going to get hung out and i don't want damp washing around the house as it doesn't feel warm enough to get it dry, at least in winter i can put it next to the wood burner and it dries in a few hours.
Chopped up chicken thighs and made a garlic honey marinade, threw in some past their best peppers and mushrooms and stuck it in the fridge, hopefully it will taste ok.
Finances checked and its end of the month so nothing much happening, payday Monday and apart from a small spend at the cinema this afternoon there shouldn't be any other spends between then and now.
Redeemed £5 amaz0n voucher from micr0soft rewards which will no doubt go towards dog food.
Found some sub rolls in the freezer so will use these at lunchtime as i have some bacon needing using up, might chuck an egg in as well.

Morning, not much to update today.
No real money news, small spend at the cinema yesterday which is showing as pending, will do a tidy up of accounts on Sunday as i get paid Monday.
There will be a small spend tomorrow but will use change from purse as DH requested a lasgane for tomorrow nights tea and i have no mozzerella or tinned toms.
My Friday night cheeky drink will be prosecco, I was given several small bottles from various children on the last day of term, wine and chocolate is always greatly appreciated.

I don't like pending payments, they throw me all out
Some banks do it immediately, so I don't understand why others have to take 2 days!

Happy Saturday and a productive morning so far, started the day with a lovely breakfast made by DH, left over sausage, scrambled eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes and potato croquettes (another item used up from the freezer), we then dug out the front bed that runs down the side of the driveway, this afternoon we line and fill with pebbles and then just have a couple of planters hopefully it will make it easier to maintain and less time consuming as the weeding will be vastly reduced.
Dh has now taken a pile of junk/rubbish to the tip and will pop into Mr A on his way home, i have given him a small shopping list and £8.50 from my purse. I have thrown together a raspberry and white choc blondie using up some raspberries from the freezer. Lasagne to be made later on.
Small sale overnight on £bay only £8 but will be split between saving accounts.
Have a great weekend xx2 -
