Plus it mentions witness statement, I assume that's just the same as defence document I sent earlier? Or do I have to write a new one and send it?
    No, that's not right.

    Paragraph 3 tells you:
Those documents you intend to rely on are your Witness Statement and evidence.

    Paragraph 4 tells you:

So you have less than five days to finish gathering your evidence and writing your Witness Statement.

That Order was dated in April.
You now need to step up the pace.
Start by refreshing you memory of the process by re-reading the second post of the NEWBIES thread.
Many thanks. Yes I will get wiggle on but I did only receive this a few days ago, Royal Mail been very bad in my area for months now, and I have already started gathering bits I think are relevant.

Sorry, I'm not sure I understand 100% - To be clear, the original defence document I sent, based on the template, contains my individual facts plus all the other stuff contained in the template, is that my witness statement? Or do I basically just write out my part again minus the other stuff in template, plus any bits I may have missed out originally and call that my witness statement? Apologies again, I'm really not stupid, just confused lol...

Finally, do you know where I find the email address for court to send this to?

You do just need to read the NEWBIES thread section on WS and evidence.  This is fully explained, with examples.

As for the email address for local courts, just Google it or phone the court on Monday if you can't be sure.

I did read as much as I could when this started but there's an awful lot to go through, which becomes confusing to the layman i.e. me lol...

I just read an example of a witness statement from a link in newbies and I remember reading it before. It looked like it was written by a solicitor, quoting counter claims, Beavis (I still don't understand what that's about despite numerous attempts to read and comprehend), references to other cases etc., etc..

As for the email address, I wasn't sure if I still emailed the same address I sent defence to, which may have explained why there was no email on the letter I received, or if I had to physically send/hand deliver to Portsmouth Court. I didn't make that clear but the fact you said google or ring the court tells me it is Portsmouth I send to so I will, of course, find their email and send all documents that way.

    Wish me luck...

p.s. I'd like to know what set aside means, and make a counter claim if I have any grounds to, but you'll tell me to read another thread and my brain hurts too much already :#:D , so I'll just resign myself to my basic defence that I had a lease that gave me the right to park behind my shop and hope it's enough to get these vultures off my back.

That was the Northampton CCBC - they are no longer in the picture. Everything now is with the court to which your case has been allocated.
I'd like to know what set aside means
Have you checked this via Google and found nothing?  Do you have a County Court Judgment against you?  If not, don't concern yourself with a set aside.
and make a counter claim if I have any grounds to
What grounds do you believe exist by which the PPC owes you some compensation?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

The latest good example WS are by @ricky_balboa and @wobs2k which are the examples most people are copying, as you will see on other court threads at your stage.  Reading other threads really is the way forward.  We read every single one every day!  You only need to skim read some thread titles for ones about WS stage and then read a handful of them while watching TV and you'll get it.

Or just read the two I've mentioned, it will click when you see them.

Forget the one in the NEWBIES thread (old news now).

    This might help: -
It is Witness Statement (WS) time then, look at the NEWBIE sticky second post and you will find links to some WS examples that you can use for style and format help.  A WS is "in support of my defence as already filed" and is a narrative of what happened on the day and subsequently.  It is written in the First Person ("I") in your own words.  It is also the opportunity to provide evidence in support of arguments you have used in your defence and in your WS.
Also look at examples given by @Coupon-mad, which will guide you as to style and format, obviously the content will differ depending upon what you put in your defence.

Thanks for reply, no I didn't google set aside, just started seeing it in the threads somewhere and followed up some posts but didn't get it. I have no CCJs so I'll ignore as you suggest.

I don't know if I have grounds as such, again I just saw it in the WS I read and wondered if I could make life difficult for them and counter claim. They did remove the shop numbers from my back wall which designated the parking spaces, maybe I can claim for that?

Thanks for the reply. Sorry if I'm being thick again but where are the WS posted by ricky_balboa and wobs2k? I clicked on their names and it took me to their profiles and I couldn't see where to go from there...

The profile page is a bit of a logistical maze, but, if you look to the l/h side you will see a 'Discussions' box, click on that, then scroll down the page, and you will see the list of full blown threads each has opened. In Ricky's case it's the top one in the list (Britannia), wobs has only ever opened one thread on the forum.

They did WHAT? That's your wall (you own it?) and they removed something from it?
