Thanks guys, the good news is that I forwarded my defence sent 23rd January and this time I have received an auto response.
I will also call them tomorrow but I cannot see a phone number on the email, does anyone happen to know what it is?
*EDIT* - found number on form, thanks @KeithP2 -

Le_Kirk said:This is from the NEWBIE sticky and there is also a link to it from the standard defence template: -4. After sending off your Defence, the Northampton Business centre will send a copy to the Claimant, and then send a Directions Questionnaire (form N180) to both Claimant and Defendant. You must complete this by the date given, and send it back to Northampton, with a copy to the other side (or their solicitors if they've nominated one as the address for service). The recommended answers to the questions are as follows:
- A1 = NO to mediation (they want the whole amount, you want to pay them nothing, so no scope for mediation. This will not go against you)
- B = fill in all the details, name, address, etc
- C1 = YES to small claims track – this is the limited costs track for claims up to £10,000 in value
- D1 = name of your local County Court – unless you are a Ltd company, the case files will be transferred there
- D2 = NO to expert evidence (this relates to medical negligence cases and suchlike)
- D3 = 1 witness (that’s you) (or more if you are going to get another person to provide a statement)
- D4 = Put down the dates of any pre-booked holidays, NO to interpreter (unless you need one).
I post this back to Northampton, and post a copy to Napier, or better to send to their solicitor?
I'm not scanning and sending via email?0 -
I post this back to Northampton, and post a copy to Napier, or better to send to their solicitor? We don't recommend posting. Email is better.Send via email attachment to the CCBC and to Napier's solicitors. You can copy Napier in on it as well, it'll give them a bit of extra, though marginal, running around to do.Make sure you meet the deadline date, and check your MCOL Claim History that the CCBC has received it.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

@Umkomaas has already told you who to email. It includes the County Court Business Centre which also happens to be in Northampton, and Napier's solicitors - BW Legal - which you appear to have overlooked.

Hi guys, so I finally got court letter and I want to make sure I don't do something wrong at this late stage, so any advice is much appreciated.
It asks me to send documents to the other party and the court office but I can't see an email address for the court, any ideas? It's Portsmouth County Court, hearing at Havant Justice Centre.
Also, it says the claim is listed for a conciliation appointment, date to be fixed, where both parties must attend to see if they can come to an agreement. Is this normal?
Plus it mentions witness statement, I assume that's just the same as defence document I sent earlier? Or do I have to write a new one and send it?
Sorry if questions are dumb, like I said at start just want to make sure I don't miss anything at this final stage. I'm attaching pics of the letter I received in case I have not explained it well or have missed something.
Thanks again guys, really don't think I could've done this without the help here... 🙏🏻0 -

Paragraph 3 tells you:Those documents you intend to rely on are your Witness Statement and evidence.
Paragraph 4 tells you:
So you have less than five days to finish gathering your evidence and writing your Witness Statement.
That Order was dated in April.
You now need to step up the pace.
Start by refreshing you memory of the process by re-reading the second post of the NEWBIES thread.2
