Thanks @scrimpandsave. This is not a need as such it's because I am going to see if not using the electric shower save's in heating bills.
We had this method in our old house and we never fixed the electric shower as we prefered it. To have a proper non electric shower fitted would cost more and be more involved including re tiling so can wait till we can afford a new bathroom. So it will be a while 🤣

  • I’ve tidied just over £4 now which isn’t bad as I only started at the weekend. Had an annoying blip yesterday - I have a Nespresso subscription which I’d paused before Christmas and forgot all about. It obviously unpaused yesterday and the DD came out, messing up my meticulous budgeting!

Turns out I had a hefty unspent credit on there which they’re not able to refund to my bank account - however I could use the credit across the full product range. Randomly as a subscriber you get all sorts of weird and wonderful discounts so I managed to get a deluxe milk frother, a travel mug, and some biccies all with my credit balance. I plan to gift or re-sell those.

    Enjoying the challenge a lot!

That's a good start Jelly. Disgusting they wouldn't refund you properly. I would have complained but at least you made use of it.

  • I know - it should be par for the course that any subscription services send you an email in the week prior to your money being taken, just as a courtesy! Ah well. Lesson learned and someone will be getting a lovely milk frother  :D

Done a tilly on my account as I am here again and managed a whole £1, I don't mind what the value is as long as it is something. Small gratifications are splendid

£5.47 went to the mortgage…this was to round it down, but it’s done it’s petrol pump thing and knocked an extra penny off, so now ends on 99p 😖
