For the fleece you work ch8 chain loops all over the body, leaving the bottom where the legs are attached plain to ensure balance when sitting.

When I started, I way over stuffed it. Removed the stuffing twice from it until it was right. Have learnt that the body needs to be well stuffed to hold the head. But the arms and legs - you only stuff the ends.

The poncho seems a fairly easy pattern to follow. Looking forward to seeing it made.

Fingers crossed that it is easy. 

I will will count the wool coupons when it arrives and I work out how much I will need to use. 

Natural fibres 2 coupons per 50g. Ouch that is 4 coupons per 100g. Not sure if I will need 6 or 8 balls. That will be 24 or 32 coupons!!!!!  Which is 1/3 to 1/2 of one years allowance. I can see why they use to undo a woollen jumper and reuse it.

Gem-gem -the sheep and bunny are lovely, they are so much easier than they look, especially the sheep coat! I like Kerry Lord patterns,  the sheep was one of the first toys I crocheted and I must say I was quite impressed with myself when it was finished  

Just to let you know I'm still here getting on with a bit of knitting, but it's very slow and I'm going to have to go further a field for cs clothes or actually buy new if I can't find something soon!!!

My mother-in-law has started crocheting a blanket out of yarn she found in her stash...that just happens to be ALL my favorite colors.  Even the orange.

Guess what I'll have once she finishes?

Mended a handkerchief instead of throwing it out and another sock. When I restarted knitting socks a few years ago I made a few pairs with 4ply wool from stash - big mistake, not sock wool, as they don't wear too well and to make matters worse I made a couple of pairs using the same wool for heels and toes, so now I'm reinforcing them all before any more holes appear. I did learn from my mistake though.

Finished the mini-hippo today. He is now all wrapped up - ready to go to a little boy who is eight months old. The hippo was made from the left overs of the sheep. 

Has anyone ever made a hot water bottle cover before? I was thinking about buying hw bottles, crocheting the covers and giving them to people for Xmas ( Maybe for this year or for next year).  (I am not on Pin interest / Facebook or Esty, so cannot access the resources on these). 

Apart from the wool, which I will declare soon, I haven't bought any clothes, shoes etc this year.
