I suck at updating stuff - I cannot even recall if I signed up to this one or 2021! ha ha ha - anyway, I have sort of done fashion on a ration but not kept too much of a count to be fair. Bring on 2023 when I fully expect to spend more time on MSE forums hehehe - I am guessing the 2023 post is still to come but when it does I am there! I have also managed to not buy new fabric but I have bought 4 balls of wool on trips (my souvenirs when I travel is wool).... I have made quite a bit with my stash so feeling pretty good.Well lets see - I dip in and out of MSE all the time but I still come back - have done since 2007!!!

I haven’t set up the 2023 thread yet, @wit40iwtwan. When I do, I’ll post a link here, I promise. In the meantime, please take a seat by the fire and tell us all about your travels. Where have you been? What were the wool shops like? Also, what have you been making with your stash?
Please have a cup of tea and a mince pie and stay and chat!

I went to my son's wedding in Latvia and picked up 2 balls of Novita in a lovely shop there - so far made myself fingerless gloves with one ball. Then I went to South Africa and bought some South African very chunky wool - not made anything with it yet as working through my extensive stash - but working through it I am! ha haWell lets see - I dip in and out of MSE all the time but I still come back - have done since 2007!!!

Hi all, I have photos and I am going to try to post them.
The one with the green bits is for my DS and the one with the grey and orange bits is for my bil. They are not perfect and if I were doing them again there are things I would do differently but no time nowI am still rather chuffed with them though as all the yarn was from a cs and I have no pattern so made it up as I went along
. I still have a big bag of yarn left over which I will ponder what to do with after Christmas
Take care everyone10 -
Gorgeous wool, they look great. You're very clever to do it without a pattern!Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Kindness in another’s trouble, courage in your own.5

@Liverpool_Anne hot water bottle covers, I presume? They look lovely. Do make notes and write down what you did, because you’re bound to want to make another one.

@Liverpool_Anne your hot water bottle covers look great. I have loads of wool so will attempt one. Did you follow a pattern or just do it by eye?DD was well enough for her Christmas Concert and said her lines loud and clear. Though a typical infant concert, one child fell asleep sitting up, couple refused to go on stage. All very entertaining and enjoyable 😀 Here in Wales the schools don't break up until 23rd and next week is party week with discos, messy play days and a pantomine trip. Wish I was in school instead of work.
Today I am going to attempt to declutter 100 items of random clutter whilst working and fill the recycling bins.
Have a good day everyone, stay warm and be careful if you have snow/ice.6 -
@Liverpool_Anne I like the idea of putting a flap at the bottom, so you can wash the cover and change the HWB. Also, your flap at the top so to fuller cover the stopper. Here is a HWB that I made for a friend, without a pattern. (I did adapt the pattern for the star).2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons
