I went over by a few coupons last year, so must try harder this year. I think I will need some underwear, so will probably buy sloggis instead of m and s. The last lot just haven't lasted as well as they used to, so I'm voting with my purse.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Are we having a New Year's party in the village hall? I can bring mince pies and some bottles of fancy soft drinks for those who don't want alcohol. You might find me asleep in the corner not long after midnight though 😉

I would love to join in here. I follow Claire, sewing Bee winner, and she did this last year.
I keep telling myself i need to sew more so hoping this will give me incentive to finish the wiggle skirt and pinafore sat in my pile!
I have patterns for undies but never get around to making them!
I bought 2 pairs of jeans/jeggins last year (last lot lasted 2 years) so I'm hopeful I have staples. ... bar bras but then I may just go braless! Working from home majority of the time find myself in my pj bottoms and one of my knitted wool jumpers.
I think for me the spending will be on wool as I'm just finishing a jacket and i only buy enough wool for 1 project at a time!
Can I confirm when you say second hand clothes... is that what is given to you or bought in charity shops?5 -
Could I join please5

Gem, clothes/other textiles that are given or that you've bought in charity shops, Ebay, car boots etc are just the same with regard to coupons: you can keep yours in your purse, all second hand things are coupon free. I've just realised that I saved myself a lot of coupons when I inherited a stack of towels from my parents!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Excuse me. I’m just going to shoo That Dog away from the minced pies. He loves them... Done! I’ll pop the tin on the mantle, where he can’t get them.

Berry punch sounds lovely. I'll try a glass in a minute. My (very small this week) Asda order has just arrived. I'm going to use up all the extra food we bought before I buy more.2025 Fashion on the ration
150g sock yarn = 3 coupons
Lined trousers = 6 coupons ...total 9/66
2 t-shirts = 8 coupons
Trousers = 6 coupons ... total 23/66
2 cardigans = 10 coupons
Sandals = 5 coupons ... total 38/664 -
I'm joining again for 2022 if I may?
I have 43 coupons remaining from 2021, not because I'm abstemious but because I had loads left from 2020.
I have a jumper on the go for DH and yarn to make one for myself, plus all the things I will 'need' to make for my tiny granddaughter who arrived last week and hasn't yet learned to form the words 'No thank you, Granny'. I rather think once she is past the Government layette stage I will need to negotiate with her parents to see if they would like me to spend some of her allowance on her behalf!
I don't need a lot of new stuff myself this year apart from a dress for a wedding in July, but doubtless I will find things as I go along - though what I really need to do is wear a few things out!
For fellow runners - are we doing a Much Mending Parkrun? We never got round to it last year but it might help us keep going! I'm a fair-weather runner and there's a terrible muddy patch if we take the field route but running on local roads is quite acceptable. We'll use the Village Hall as our base and the kettle is always on. (Just keep the door shut on cold days please or Pip will have something to say about the fuel bills).I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Well I would love to join the village running team, and be one of those types but frankly I'm kidding myself. The only thing I like to run from are my own thoughts and responsibilities
Planning on a the big wardrobe assessment tomorrow for the day... see where I'm at and where I want to be and write myself a little list I think.Wealth is not measured by currency5 -
Count me in again too, please! I still have some Christmas Cake, mince pies & butter tarts to offer round in the Village Hall, now most of my festive crew have pottered back off to their respective parts of the country again. I did have some coupons left over from last year - 5 or 6? - and should be able to stay within my allowance this year, as the only thing I really, really need that I can't make for myself or source secondhand is a pair of proper walking boots. BUT, that's probably famous last words!Angie - GC Jun 25: £309.06/£500 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)6
