Hello 1% buddy - so nice to have you here.
Good luck. I cannot wait to hear all about your efforts x

  • I've just added another £10 to my savings pot. Not much but I managed to save £10 off a purchase yesterday by signing up to a newsletter so I've added this to my savings.

My total now stands at £122/£1500 which equates to 8.13% :)

I was supposed to be getting another £18 from FB sales today but all 3 people did not show up. Fingers crossed they will come tonight but I won't be holding my breath :(

  • My music tutor cancelled my lesson today (health issues) so I've put the £20 lesson fee towards my target.
(I'm putting it straight on the cc rather than waiting for the lump sum, to try and bring the interest down  )

That sounds like a great plan ;) Glad you are off and running - what a great start.

  • I've added another £5 to my savings pot today for a FB sale of some curtains I bought a few years ago in the sale but never put up as my hubby hated them.

Don't really feel like I am getting anywhere at the moment but at least my total is creeping in the right direction :)

Total is now £127/£1500 which is 8.46%

  • Me and bf were chatting the last couple of days, about starting overpayments on the mortgage.
I want to get rid of the credit card before we start OPs, so this has spurred me on to pay off as soon as possible.
I've made the decision to cancel my PT sessions. (I know what I'm doing, it was more for accountability). This will save me £75 a month.

I also owe a large chunk of money to bf (house improvements). He suggested that instead of paying him back directly, I will pay this back via mortgage overpayments. So instead of eg £350 to him a month, I will pay £350 OP - £200 from me and £150 effectively on his behalf (he will be also adding £200 OP). This way we can throw big chunks at the mortgage, at the same time I'm paying him back. Genius!

  • I've been putting money aside for my next wodge of run coach sessions, but I figured I could probably have enough saved up by the next payment (in about 3 months) anyway, so I've popped another £80.00 onto the CC. I like dealing in round figures :#

    £100/£1300

Looking forward to payday on Tuesday, when I plan to throw a big chunk at the CC

  • Me again - not much progress unfortunately as I am recovering from Covid and feeling pretty awful but it has meant that I have managed the whole month without any spending on craft supplies so I have transferred £125 into the savings pot today as that was the budget I set myself and I have not spent one penny of it.
I have also sold some curling ribbon on FB marketplace so added £10 from that into the pot too.

That means my total now stands at £262/£1500 which is 17.46% :)

Monday is also Etsy payday so will be at least another £200 coming my way fingers crossed x

    It's me again ;)

I am pleased to report that I have today added a further £379 to my savings as it is Etsy payday and I had a late flourish of sales.

My total now stands at £641/£1500 which is £42.73% - getting closer to the half way mark :)

Anyone else going to join x_raphael_xx and myself to help keep this thread alive. It's really helping me focus x
