    I’m in please

    MISSRIKKIC (I think!)

We have things coming up, not to mentioned baby due in May so don’t want to be too tight but in a few years a loan ends and it actually ends a few months later than I’d like; to fit in with other life plans. So I’m going to propose that I have 1% of the balance I need to have overpaid by if that’s okay? That isn’t the extent, there will be another 64% to clear via other means than this challenge but maybe I can be held accountable this way? Now to encourage my OH!

1% of the 3.6k I want to have cleared is £36.60 per month. On that note, I’ve just transferred a helpful 3.69 from my top cashbk account as a starter :)

  • My lovely Nan decided to gift me and my brother (only grandkids) some money last week - so that has gone straight onto my debt - so I have managed to cross off 8 squares with it. Bless her. 8/100 .... great motivation to keep going.

Tomorrow I am going to be scrounging around my sewing box and putting some patterns up for sell.
  • I don't think I'm going to have any extra money to tackle this for this month. I'm really annoyed, but this is looking tight - looks as though I need to find a couple of hundred pounds for a new car battery, but I'm hoping not. However, I need to hang onto the cash just in case.
  • Grans are the best @MoneysavingmadGem

I am also at 8% though mine is a lot less than yours because it is only one chunk of the overall picture. I am happy though to be at 8 and am aiming for at least 10 by the end of the month - if I can get through chunk 1 asap I can move on to chunk 2 and feel like I have some momentum.

  • I do have a question though. My monthly payments will end up clearing percentages of my debt but I think I read that doesn’t count? But it will be reducing my debt amount.

How is everyone doing? It’s almost a new month (for me!) and with saving for impending 2nd baby I need to figure out where we can save the Extra £100ish from!

  • Hi all,

Joining this challenge, my 1% is £4.32 and I need to pay this off by 20th March ideally!

Have really enjoyed it in previous years.
  • Just paid off £40.56 = 9%

I had some money in paypal from some surveys and stuff. Transferred across. Nice to kick start it
