Just delurking to say how pleased I am for you, I follow your diary and I've been really hoping this would work out for you.  There will be unexpected things when you finally get in, and expenses you hadn't quite bargained for and all that, but this is your home and you can take your time to get it just as you want.

I'm so appreciative of all the posts and thanks from everyone. I could really feel the energy of people here and in real life who were willing me over the line. 

My friend, who is coming with me to help move in surprised me with a boutiquey hotel, so we could have a nice night as the removals come the next day. I have a family relative turning up to help with removals. It should be fine. There is so much I don't have in terms of furniture, but it doesn't bother me in the least. 

I am a strange mixture of fear and excitement. I am hoping for good-enough neighbours

I already have things to do on the other side with new people: a few concerts, a walk, cinema. Nice things to look forward to. Although I am looking forward to alone too. And walks by the sea 

'The Meantime' is coming to an end...

I will keep posting on other diaries over the weekend, but this is my last post on this diary.

Thank you again for all the support, advice and goodwill you have extended me over the past few years in this space.

I will be starting a new diary once I get Wifi sorted.  But, I will be back. Look out for me
