Well I used the radiator brush, I've never seen so much dust 😱 I gave the front room a good clean, and pulled out the sofa to clean behind and sort out the block that stops it knocking the TV aerial (swearing a lot at DH as I had to move loads of stuff for a job that should have taken 5 minutes!).
The kitchen is clean! I even cleaned the windows! It looks so much fresher and brighter in there. The boiler service is all done and no probs, so hopefully that's it for another year.
I also made a start on tidying our bedroom but didn't get too far with that as it was nearly time for the kids to go out. They had a lovely afternoon and I got a few hours peace, in which I just sat and read
Having time off makes life so much easier. I've naturally been eating more healthily as I've got more time to prepare stuff so I don't grab and go as much. But I think having the house tidier makes a lot of difference to my motivation as well. Hopefully my extra day off and the ability to keep on top of things better will mean I can keep going. I do need to sort out prepping food though as the four days I'm working will be hectic.
We've got no plans for the next couple of days. I have to join a work meeting tomorrow but hopefully just an hour. Little miss has her re-booked vaccine on Friday but other than that, we can chill and do stuff at home or locally. I don't really fancy travelling too far as the traffic will probably be a nightmare the next few days."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Another small sale yesterday so that has been my PAD today.
I'm shattered today, I haven't been sleeping well, I seem to have a busy mind! So a quieter day today I think, though I shall make the effort to do short stints as a minimum. It's nice to see the house feeling a bit cleaner and tidier. Little miss says she didn't sleep well yesterday either, so she's made a den in the front room and snuggled in. Little jwil is always happy to chill out. I've got this meeting at 9 which is annoying, but as a colleague is off sick and the other is overseas, I needed to be there really as there are deadlines. At least it should be over by 10.
It's very grey and dismal out there today. Come back sun!
Have a good day everyone"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2 -

A den sounds a wonderful idea. Perhaps I should build one and work inside it 😁 Unfortunately my dog is gormless so it wouldn’t stay standing without bricks and mortar, but it’s such a nice idea! Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

My 1 hr meeting went on for 3.5 hrs!! I was so annoyed by the end of it, that's half a day's work! So I didn't really achieve anything in the end today.
