Back to it all today. Another day, another positive for little miss!! We are all negative, but I kept little jwil home today as he's full of cold and coughing. Despite the negative test, I had visions of me getting the call to go and get him.
I'll see how he is tonight about whether he goes back tomorrow, but he's still coughing a fair amount. I might order a pcr so at least by Monday he'll have had the results.
My sore throat is better today, yay!
I emailed my boss this evening to say I wasn't going to go for the additional role. I think there's too much going on this year and too much change in the pipeline anyway. I may join the organisation anyway so I get the experience.
I received some cashback today, so sent that to the mortgage. I've also had a flurry of surveys on one poll so am 50p away from £25. I'm glad to see the back of this week! It has been so hectic trying to juggle everything.
Little miss is still testing positive! But it was a faint line today so hopefully we are turning the corner. Email from school saying they will confirm Sunday lunchtime if they are opening next week as so many staff are out with covid 😱
I seem to be skint this weekend. I hate Monday paydays! I had been doing really well, but my money has seemed to disappear in the last couple of weeks! I've had a couple of birthdays which hasn't helped. Must do better next month!
I'm hoping for a quiet weekend. I'd try and persuade DH to take the kids out for a bit to give me a break, but little miss hasn't had two negatives yet so she has to complete her isolation now (Sunday). Maybe next weekend."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4 -
Hi Jwil - hope you get a rest regardless. I can't believe the govt changing their stance on masks when covid is so rife. It makes zero sense. I know so many people who have it currently.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Good to know you're feeling better (and the kids) and a faint line seems to be a good sign. I had a colleague who took ages to turn negative on her LFs and had to complete isolation, we were both equally obsessed on seeing her lines go front strong to faint to nothing.jwil said:I emailed my boss this evening to say I wasn't going to go for the additional role. Good luck on your isolation! It must be hard keeping the kids occupied (and yourself) but you make it sound so easy. Hope you get your rest once you get your quiet days back.6 -

I think going with our guts makes a lot of sense. Sometimes we overthink things. I hope your decision is the right one for you too."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee5 -
Well finally, on day 9 little miss has tested negative! Hurrah! If we get a negative tomorrow as well we will be FREEEE!
Even if they close school still, I'll at least be able to take her out. She's going stir crazy but has managed really well considering. She hasn't moaned, she's willingly done all her work, and has spent a lot of time being creative. Considering I've been working all week bar one day, she has generally left me to it, and only made an appearance in a couple of meetings/calls
Today the plan is to tidy round, chill and have a restful day. I have a few items to list as well. I might do another coat of paint on the dolls house too.
I was trying to shift some money from a savings account to my current account this morning to tide me over for the weekend. It wouldn't allow me to do it due to 'technical issues'. I think the universe is trying to tell me something
Have a good day everyone"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee6
