I'm still being spendy!  I've ordered a fan today.  The kids room is the hottest in the house and they are struggling.  I haven't been sleeping well either with the heat so hopefully it will help.  It was £80 with hugely positive reviews and I used £30 of nectar points to help get the price down.

I ordered DH's birthday present yesterday too - some motorcycle boots.

I'm shattered today, so don't think I'll be up to much.  Have a good day everyone.

  • The fan will be very useful and you can use it every summer. I never think fans are a waste of money as they help you sleep and I couldn't manage without one in the bedroom and one in the living room in the summer.

I'm inspired as always by your PADS.

Thank you :)  I've never used a fan before as I've found them annoying and noisy.  Must have been the ones we had!  This one is really good, and it's practically silent!  It really helped get a good nights sleep last night.

The last couple of days have been a bit of a write off due to the heat.  I haven't slept well so haven't felt like doing much in the day.  Last night though was a different matter, I put the fan on direct rather than moving and it worked a treat.  It's so quiet, it's hard to tell if it's on unless the room is completely silent!

DH is taking the kids swimming this morning, so I've got a couple of hours while it's a bit cooler to tidy round, hoover and do a bit of stuff around the house.  I've got some mince that needs cooking so will prep a couple of meals so I don't need to cook in the heat.

DH has sold some stuff so I need to pack those as well.

Have a good day everyone :)

Thank you both.  I was a bit worried it was a wasted spend, but now I'm thinking it's ok.

I've hoovered through, made up two meals with the mince, cleaned up the kitchen, caught up with surveys and packed 3 ebay parcels.  Just going to hang the washing and that will probably be most of it for the day as it's getting hot now.  Roll on the weather breaking.

    Have a good day.
