I have a different health challenge, with a blood cancer labelled polycythemia vera Jak2. I last month had Covid and contrary to expectations, my red blood count dropped dramatically from excessive to low. I lost about half a stone due to no appetite.

My point, which I know you are aware of is that weight isn't an indicator of health.
Thank you, and I'm sorry to hear about your cancer, plus the extra complication of Covid.  I hope you are managing ok.
    FRom me too.

At the end of the day your weight is no one's business.
    Still annoyed on your behalf.

We had a nice day yesterday, a visit to a miniature Shetland Pony rescue centre and then to the seaside.  Little miss loved walking and grooming the ponies.   On Saturday DH took the kids to the steam fayre so I had a couple of hours to myself.

The kids are meeting their friends tomorrow afternoon, but apart from that, no real plans this week.  As it's getting hotter, we probably wont go out too much, unless we go to the woods or something.  I'm going to try and get stuck in at home and get some stuff done.  I've got a few things tucked away to do with the kids as well - tie dying t-shirts, baking etc so they won't be totally glued to their screens.

I bought some black dye which I'm going to use to both refresh a couple of black t-shirts which are faded, and dye some other ones black to extend their life.

First task - bedrooms.  Hoovering and stripping the beds.

Have a good day everyone :)

Thank you.  I've had the kit for ages, but haven't got round to doing it.  I figure we can rescue some of their old t-shirts doing it :)

Hectic morning this morning.  All the bedding changed and on the line.  It's probably mostly dry now.  I've also started tackling the pit that is the kids room.  Pulled out the beds and picked up everything and hoovered underneath.  I've boxed up most of the toys and brought them down so they can be sorted and organised properly.  I'll then decide what can go back up!  Tempted just to leave it as one box of lego, books and soft toys.

I need to finish sorting through their books as well.

I've made a lardy cake.  I'm trying to use up stashes of food in the cupboards ahead of probably trying to go lower carb in September.  I can also use up everything and replace it with fresh ahead of the winter.

I've also given the bathroom a deep clean so that feels better too, and washed all the towels and bath mats.

I'm going to chill out this afternoon!

I obviously had ants in my pants today :D  I did a little bit out in the garden this afternoon as well, so that's looking better.  My t-shirts are all in the wash now with the dye.

Now I am shattered!  So definitely will be chilling this evening.

DH has annoyed me, as the kids put a couple of games out to go, but there are a couple of pieces missing so I can't get rid of them yet.  He went and put them back, saying they would just sit in the front room for months. 😡  They won't because I'm halfway through sorting, and will get there at some point this week.  He can blooming talk, given that he *actually* leaves stuff lying around for months 😡😡  I made him return them to where I'd left them.  The whole point is creating space so I can properly sort through and organise things!

Well done for what you got done.

It's natural to get frustrated with your OH - but don't let it rob you of your joy. You're doing a great job getting rid of stuff.
