    Our house had never been sold prior to us buying it via probate.

    You know what you paid for it, use the calculator I linked you to.

    Have you read the information from this site, i linked you to?

    The VOA and apparently I can only ask for details of 4 properties from them and if they have no information that’s one off my lists for information

    Thanks for that I have used it and I will put it in my bundle for the tribunal I am submitting 5 comparable bungalows which where lowered in the 1990s and five which are in my present band but a lot bigger I am at a loss why previous owner’s didn’t dispute banding when it was set in 1991/1993 there must be thousands who haven’t

    When I was in the VOA and started dealing with CT appeals in 1993, I calculated only 8% had bothered to appeal in the areas our office dealt with.
    If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales

    Hi there tried 3 email addresses for VOA today all away til either 6 January or 10 January then I tried the old favourite the phone 4 times no one answered and I am having trouble with information lol look on bright side got till 31 st January my bundles got to be in by 3 January

    Finally got a email today out of the blue someone picked up on my emails apparently my case worker is back on the 4 my bundle as to be in by the third that’s set in stone dare I say as useful as a chocolate teapot

    A lot of councils don't actually want to go to the tribunal.  Mine phoned me the day before the tribunal and offered a lower band thus avoiding the need to go to the tribunal.  It was like they were testing how serious I was.
