I have made investigations towards changing the mortgage to just mine.. eep... though I did then think my daughters friend is a mortgage advisor (inmy head she is 15 but she is really 28.. ) so I may contact her in a few days, before she starts maternity leave.. and see if she can help..
OH is cleaning out the fish.. I have done nothing..

Fayolle that's so sad, thinking about you and your friend x
Been to parents for lunch. Too much alcohol and food (again). Starting to think about Tuesday and back to work.
My gran used to say something about not doing laundry on NY day because you washed all your luck away. Well thats my 2022 written off because I have done two loads, partly dried outside.
Budgets done for Jan and Feb, need to be incredibly frugal. Hoping to get out somewhere for a walk tomorrow. I need to think about getting some food shopping too.10 -
Fayolle golly that is sad.
Yorkshire Lass if the bank holiday monday after Christmas is anything to go by, you will get some good bargains if you shop at about 5pm on Monday.
Well got up to sunshine, so had a lovely lake swim. Followed it with coffee and cake at the garden centre which has become a bit of a NY day tradition - no major bargains to be had in their sales though (which is why we first started going there on NYD) but they do lovely cards so we're stocked up for Jan and Feb birthdays and some later in the year as well.
Got the old sink/pond in position now on new patio so just need to put the liner in tomorrow and empty a few bucketsful of water from one of the very full butts (that sounds rude.....).
Did a whole heap of admin, booking in next term's work. Wrote a bit more of a report.
Emailed a friend we'd planned to ask for dinner soon; agreed on Monday.
Made a lovely veggie tarte tatin for dinner; I haven't made a savoury one before but it was seriously yummy and enough left over for tomorrow.
Just doing our evening slob (dates, chocolate, NY concert from Vienna, Midsomer Murders) when Mr N had a text from a biking friend who has just acquired broken ribs and a punctured lung and is waiting for a scan. Very alarmed; he was going for a bike ride today (Norwich area to Cromer area) so we assume that is related.....but his battery was low so that's the last we heard. He is the friend whose wife passed in Jan last year. Very worrying. We assume that he's contacted his son before messaging us; we don't have the son's phone details so will just have to wait and see.
Take care all you lovely people xRemember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9 -
Day 9 - still positive!! 🤬 Although the line is getting fainter....last day of isolation tomorrow! I'm not sure how I feel if I am still testing positive? 🤷♀️
Yesterday I spent some time in the garden. I poo picked (dog is confined to the patio to try and save the grass at this time of year!), and pulled up some weeds that were growing in the cracks. I also weeded & cleared dead stuff from the various patio pots, and gave the honeysuckle a severe pruning! It looks tidier out there, but the patio is green! It will stay that way until the days get longer so nothing i can do at the moment. Today I cleaned out the greenhouse - so many spiders! It was good to get outside and do something useful 😁 My roses have buds (3, on 2 different roses!) and the geraniums are still flowering. Mother nature seems confused!
Other than that I have been knitting baby bean's blanket & re-visiting a jigsaw!
Hugs to Fayolle
Night night all x

That means if you are contagious and spread it then it is on you not the government.. that then depends on your conscience. I have none and wouldn't even have a pcr because it is pointless for me. My sister didn't have one either, also pointless.. My DIL and DS1 did because work needed evidence.
WOOT.. after midnight.. *runs to put the WM on*

Morning all
Been awake for a while again, wm is set on the timer so will start soon, need to get a couple of loads done this morning. Planning another good walk today… also thinking about the return to work. I’ve fallen into the habit of missing lunch or eating quick things which are not very healthy as it’s been so busy so I am going to get back in to prepping my lunch the night before even though I am working from home, with that in mind I need to meal plan for the week and probably get a (hopefully) small shop in today or tomorrow.
Time for a cuppa now and feed the cats, be back later when progress has been made x9 -
Morning all. Hope you're all ok.
I'm the only one up at the moment, parrots taken and enjoying the peace.
Planning to take decorations down today so they'll be dusting to do as well as usual Sunday jobs.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
Morning all xx
I didn't feel 'right' yesterday and today I am decidedly out of sorts. More aches and pains than I know what to do with...including in the sciatic area which I 'cricked' turning for a towel yesterday morning and my right shoulder/ arm which are beggars for waking me up, add a niggly headache and voila - a grumpy Round 😠
However....I have made my bed and brought down the laundry hamper. Breakfast and two brews have been demolished so time for a to do list:
To Do List:
Ibuprofen
Get dressed
Feed the birds
Put out the recycling
Sort washing into loads
Set first load swishing
WUDUPA
Put Christmas presents away
Have a good day.
Hugs to all
Rxx
