Good grief. We've travelled all the way to Wales and the cheapest on route was 183.9 🙄3

Right, time to check in on the monthly goals 😱South_coast said:Money....
* Save 60% of my salary each month:
- Pay £300 a month into the LISA
- Rebuild my EF to £4800
- Start saving for the refurb once the EF is complete
68.4% saved this month. This will be the new normal now, as the NI threshold increase has kicked in and I've had a bit of a payrise, but I've resisted the urge to try and save any more and will stick to my nice round number instead
LISA pot is full and set aside
EF is full
Refurb saving is on hold for a bit
* Anything else I can spare above 60% to go into the S&S ISA on payday
Nothing else to be spared this month
* Any free money or underspends to be paid into the monthly pots
These all went towards trying (and failing) to keep myself in the black. The aforementioned increases in income will help with that going forward, so hopefully I can enjoy free money again soon!
2022, the year of happiness....
* Get out and explore somewhere new once a month
Er, no
* Try out a new recipe once a month
Er, no. That's nothing new since April now 🙄, but I am at least continuing to cook some of the dishes I tried out earlier in the year
* Try to be more upbeat and positive - and don't succumb to ranting at/about work
🤷♀️ I think I've been OK with this, struggling to think back at the moment!
* Try and have a couple of little trips away, one UK, one Europe
UK trip taken. I also now have a £1000 "Holidays" account, so I am theoretically always ready to either book or take a holiday (will top back up to £1000 each time I take any money out of it)
Sundry....
* Write a will
Er, no
I will do better in August!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Actually, reading back I think a C might be a bit harsh. On the goals listed above, I didn't do that badly, I'm just marking myself on earlier years at the same time, as they should have be nailed by now 🤦♀️!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
