Right, revised monthly goals, so we can all focus on what needs focus 🤣
Money....
* Rustle up £1000 in "extra" money by 31/12/2023
2022, the year of happiness....
* Get out and explore somewhere new once a month
* Try out a new recipe once a month
* Try to be more upbeat and positive
* Try and have a couple of little trips away, one UK, one Europe
Sundry....
* Write a will
Have only just realised how many of those start with the word "Try" - no wonder I'm not doing very well, that's not particularly assertive language 🤣! OK, I am SC, I am active not passive (hear me roar 🤣)

You could try rewriting in past tense, that’s supposed to help! ‘In 2022 I have been to 12 new places….’, etc.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Ooh, I could definitely do that at the end of the year 🤔! Good thinking!
In the meantime, I have transferred my first £1.22 into the new "extras" account 😀 It'll be taken out again before the end of the month, as I know I'm due to spend more than I've got, but it felt good in the moment!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

T Robbins swears by it - as do the secret type books.
I definitely believe it is good to speak words of life over yourself. So I'm getting better at managing money every day. Or money is increasingly coming to me from lots of different sources or I am keeping more of what I earn and growing my wealth. They are true statements now and could be a good starting point. Apply similar statements to other life goals.
I have a million pounds 'note' on my fridge as a symbol of my financial goals. A long way off but with pensions and house equity may be achievable.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

OK, it's Friday night, so having a couple of drinks and listening to a slightly eclectic selection of music
(George Michael/George Harrison/Chaka Khan/Boy George/UB40/The Human League/Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince/Salt n Pepa) loudly (with occasional singing along) whilst preparing my pizza for dinner is perfectly acceptable, right 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️???
(I'm saying yes, as I reckon it's marginally less antisocial than the man who came home drunk in the early hours last night and hammered on the locked outside door, calling for someone to "Let me in" for 10 minutes, until someone did indeed let him in 🤣!)Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Sounds totally acceptable. DD cooked a curry tonight whilst listening to a random selection from Spotify and singing along loudly (with doors amd windows open). Conversation at the dinner table tonight started with local people (teachers) convicted of s*x crimes (mainly indecent images of underage people) over the years and the different categories of indecent images, which led to a quick chat about animal related such crimes before moving on to a discussion about the sad case in the news involving rhe 12 year old boy and the parents' appeals. Dinner table conversations are often rather random in this house!I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £205
