Hmmm, I got all excited the other day when I got a mailshot from Premier Inn extolling the virtues of their coastal hotels and obvs had to check that my town was on their list - it was, and it had a list of "things to do". "Excellent." I thought, "This could be just what I need to inspire my monthly exploring trips." Except I've just got round to actually looking at the list and one place has never re-opened after Covid and another is at the far end of the next town across 🤦♀️! Not sure I dare to look at the restaurant section, as I may find myself equally disappointed 🤣!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Have just caught up so I appreciate this is very out of date but... are you aware of the Midsummer Murders Bot on Twitter? Churns out increasingly unbelievable plot lines but yet...4
-
Ooh, I haven't! May have to look that up 😀 I gave up Twitter once I got together with BF and had a real person to share my random thoughts with, but if there is Midsomer Murders content.... Although are we sure it's a bot, as some of the real plot lines are pretty unbelievable 🤣!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

I do like your excel saving tracking
I have a plan of my home and fill in £500 squares. Been doing it for 2 years now and it is satisfying to see the growth
in fact I have some squares to fill in today as finally got paid an invoice so …
I love twitter it’s definitely my way of some news (I read the guardian website daily as well) and what the world is talking about. I even know who won love island just from twitter so it saves me wasting hours watching reality shows! Excepting drag race I will happily watch that - but Twitter allows me to see what’s happening in the other countries versions
If I was Elon Musk I’d still buy itDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

See, I was disappointed by the scarecrow one - but that might just be because I was overexcited because it was the first new episode for ages and I'd built it up into a big deal! It was better on the second watch.
But Martine McCutcheon being clobbered over the head by a lump of cheese (sorry - spoiler alert 😳) - now that's a keeper 🤣!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
