So my Mum scoffed at me recently when I explained how I had opened additional savings accounts and moved my money across into them now that the rates are starting to inch up, but today I have received £7 in interest! For doing nothing!!! (Well, for spending 15 minutes doing it and holding a bit of cash at the moment, but that feels like nothing compared to other things I do for a lot less reward 🤣!)

That's brill - it all helps.

My parents swoosh money around each month - and that pays their mortgage.

I chucked out last month's receipts just now and saw that on 16/05 it was 161.9p - that's a big jump in a month 😮!
Ha, I had a feeling prices have come down further than they started - we've been at 159.9p for the last couple of weeks. I wondered if it was because of the 5p cut in fuel duty, but I've just looked it up and that was back in March

I'm so late to the party!!! A whole new diary! Its already 76 pages in! I loved reading the summary - you've done so much in the last few years. I'm so pleased you're enjoying the new role - good colleagues make all the difference.

£7 is a good amount of interest! Its quite exciting for savers now the interest rates are slowly rising.

Yes, but most of it is waffle about petrol prices, so you've not missed much 🤣!

Good to have you back 😀 x

So another month is over and we're now 2/3 of the way through 2022....😮
    Money....
    * Rustle up £1000 in "extra" money by 31/12/2023 - £10.24 in the pot so far 😀

    2022, the year of happiness....
    * Get out and explore somewhere new once a month - Er, I went to a new fish and chip shop 🤔🤣?

    * Try out a new recipe once a month - Yes!

I think that's May and June caught up with now (or June and July, as I did two in April). The first one tasted OK, but was very boring, so not a keeper. The second one tasted good, but would need a few tweaks. Did wake up 3lb heavier after eating it though, so maybe not one to repeat too often 😱!

    * Try to be more upbeat and positive - Hmmm, OK I think. I re-read this diary the other week and was struck by how perky it was, so I seem to be managing it online at least 🤣!

    * Try and have a couple of little trips away, one UK, one Europe - UK trip taken. And I do now have a passport again, so international travel is at least a possibility!

    Sundry....
    * Write a will - Nothing more on this yet, it's a bit dependent on someone else at the moment

Not too bad, I'm going with an A- this month. Still struggling a bit with a couple of last year's though 🙄
