It did ping me out as I was halfway through completing the balance transfer details and I had to start again, so maybe they think I've applied twice?

Oh well, will see what turns up in the post in the next week or so 😅!

I think I'd opened your thread on my phone, forgotten to comment, and then did so after your second post 😁

    First of the month round-up….

    • Savings for retirement: £155,932.81 (UP £3,640.33)
    • Repaying pots until: October 2026
    • Clear car finance: May 2027
    • Getting FIREd up starts: June 2027
    • 7.40 years to go

Another good month! Happy with that 😀

For first-world reasons that I CBA to explain (the biggest being that I CBA to amend my spreadsheet 🤣), repaying pots is now going to take until October instead of August, as I'll be starting to save for the car finance alongside it. Everything else is staying the same though - 16 months until I start getting FIREd up!

I've decided to assume I won't be getting the new credit card, and have updated the spreadsheet to reflect this. The upshot is that I am now back at beyond-neutral by £215.33. If it doesn't come through, then I may just pay them off as they come due 🤔 It's all getting a bit tedious….

If anyone has any tips for not laying awake at night thinking about work, which can be enacted sooner than retirement, then I would be interested in hearing them! Even when I did manage to drop off, my stupid asthma cough then woke me up, and by that time the dawn chorus was underway, so my brain knew it would soon be time to wake up properly 🙁 Somewhat groggy this morning!

In more positive news, it looks like the balance transfers are happening. I've had an email to say the money should reach the existing providers tomorrow. If it all goes ahead, I think I'll close another couple of unused ones down
