When I find myself dwelling on work when trying to sleep - as soon as I realise that is what I'm doing, I mentally slap myself and immediately force myself to think about something else. Can be anything random. I also try to control my breathing. Amd rinse and repeat til it works

If you get an answer to this and it works, I will pay you for it! 🤣

I do have a little mantra that I normally repeat to myself over and over ("Do NOT think about work. Do NOT think about work"), but for some reason it didn't occur to me last night/this morning. It works about 60% of the time, the rest of the time I curse myself because the thoughts that pop into my head can actually be quite useful, and I have to get up and write them down to stop myself repeating them ad infinitum to try and ensue I remember them in the morning. I can frequently be seen carrying scraps of paper into the office when I arrive! I deliberately use a pen and paper instead of my phone, so that I don't see the time/that I've got an email etc, but I'm not sure turning the light on so that I can see what I'm writing is much better 🤦♀️

So the balance transfers have gone through! £0.00 now owing on one card, £0.70 on the other 👍 Looks like I'd better update the spreadsheet again 😅!

Hmmm, I suddenly can't log in to One Poll 🤷♀️? It looks like they've updated their website. I've tried requesting a password reset, but nothing coming through. Anyone else having issues?

I sometimes think all "FIRE" folk are like that - we seek to exit the workforce in part because we CBA dealing with change unless it's on our own terms 😉
