Maybe they could meter the communal supply and you could agree to either sub-meter internally and pay into a communal fund or split based on property size?4

😱 That sounds like a lot of set-up and additional admin, plus there would never be buy-in from the infernal car washers that blight every summer day. I think I'd rather just quietly pay the £45/month than stick my head above the parapet by suggesting that one 🤣!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

I keep having silly thoughts about using my savings to wipe out the remaining credit card debt (I'm only £650 short of the balance owing). It's a very bad idea (would leave me with nothing/the cards are all 0%/the savings are earning interest/I would still have to repay the robbed pots), but ohhh the thought of them being gone 🤦♀️!!!
Must stay strong.... I'm sure clearing the April card in a couple of weeks will be enough of a thrill for now 🙁🤔Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

To keep myself on the straight and narrow, I have instead finalised my strategy for dealing with micro-payments once the April card is gone (what can I say, I am a girl who knows how to have a good time 🤣🤣🤣). I was going to transfer these into the ISA to start building up the neutral pot as I'll be able to put new money in again by then, but have decided to only do this with amounts of £50 and above. Anything less than that will be paid off the July card so I feel as though I am still doing something outside of the minimum payments to keep chipping away at the balances. I have also decided to remind myself about all the things I now love about my flat to reinforce that it was money well spent, so have just spent a few minutes walking around in my shower and staring into a cupboard 🤣!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

I had a SC-level experience on Y Live last night. Left 7-8 surveys 'til the end of the week. Got screened out of 6 on the trot, spent 20+ minutes doing a "10-minute" survey, rage quit 😂4

So, water-bill-gate update:
I went on the live chat, and after going through a few questions with the bot, got a message to say I'd be transferred to a real person in approx 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, got a message to say sorry I was still having to wait, they're experiencing a high volume of contact and will be with me as soon as they can. 3 hours later (including me sending them a message to ask if I am still connected, as I've not heard any more - no reply to this), I end the chat.

I can phone them (life's too short)
Message them on Facebook (I don't have)
Message them on X (I don't have)
Message them on Instagram (I don't have)
I have now located an email address and sent them an email (auto reply says to expect a response within the next 10 working days). If that doesn't work, then I am officially drawing a line under it and just sticking with the 10 payments 🤣!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

I feel you on the water bill - ours is unmetered (assessed) too and it's just gone up to almost £80, and there's only two of us! No way do we use that amount of water. We're on a shared supply so had previously been told we couldn't get a meter, although they're now saying we could get one as long as there's enough space around the internal stopcock. That is unfortunately really wedged in behind the washing machine, but I'm still trying to figure out if there's a way around it. It's just such a ludicrous amount of money!4

Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow 😱! I'm glad/sorry to hear I'm not the only one! I dread to think what my unassessed charge would be these days - I do recall it nearly made me pass out with shock when I first got the bill, and that was 9 years ago!
Anyway, big news - I'VE HAD A REPLY TO MY WHATSAPP!!! If I want to pay over 12 months then I can either have payment slips (waaaayy more friction for me, plus surely more admin for them 🤷♀️?), or pay by standing order (this would be OK, I guess, but then the onus is on me to update it every year when I get the new bill). As I don't fancy either of these, I'm sticking with the current system. They can't change it to 12 direct debits 🤷♀️
They then sent me a satisfaction survey, which I didn't respond to on the basis that "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all" (and mostly I CBA). I then got a follow-up message an hour later to say the survey link had expired. The irony 🤣🤣🤣!!!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
