A perfect day indeed!DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Apart from quite a bit of gardening (for me) and no runs (except for Mr MV), that sounds very similar to my weekend - down to the fried egg sandwich. Pity about the work thing today!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Well, yes, fair point... but it's worse when it's been a lovely few days without work!

I somehow managed to lose your diary SC and was wondering where you were! Fortunately I've found you again, just in time to see you mentioning gentleman's appendages 😂
You sound like you're on an excellent roll of mse-ing, good work!3 -

Gah, one of the cards I paid manually by debit card has still had the direct debit taken, so I've essentially paid it twice this month! Not the end of the world, but that one doesn't expire until January 2026 so wasn't meant to be getting any additional payments yet.
May cancel the direct debit....Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Decision made, I have cancelled all the direct debits to the cards. Now just need to hope I don't end up in a coma, or something....😬Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

First of the month round-up….
Ditched the “Extra £50s” focus and decided to pay straight off the cards instead. Somehow feels much more sexy to be paying off than saving up 🤷♀️🤣 Also means far less faffing about updating my spreadsheet 👍
Moved my ISA savings from 1.2% to 4.84% and my LISA savings from 3.3% to 5.0%. Extra money for SC every single day, for virtually no effort 😀😀😀
Rediscovered my Prolific mojo and cashed out £37.63 during the course of the month
Actually, have rediscovered my everything mojo, and feel generally a lot more motivated in life 👍
Daily interest on cash: £8.56 (UP £2.39)
Owed on 0% credit: £45,255.83 (DOWN £2722.22)
0% payoff fund: £10,199.94 (DOWN £1021.97)
Need to raise: £35,055.89 (DOWN £1700.25)
Savings for retirement £118,052.00 (UP £2289.48)
10.86 years to go…
Back under 11 years 🥳🥳🥳!
Very happy with that for a month's progress (we'll gloss over the fact that not even the current cards are now offering me a balance transfer 😬 The first one isn't due until April, so plenty of time for that to change - I just need to stop checking 🤦♀️)
Now, where to find a spare £35k….🤔
