Never heard of ZipZero before @South_coast - how does it work sending payments to providers when you already have a DD set up for your bills? Sounds like a halfway useful way to trim the electricity bill. Does it work with Octopus?

I think it would work with any supplier, Ed? You just provide a sort code and account number and your account reference. It sends it as a manual payment and then it just credits onto your account. You can do it with TV licence/water rates/council tax etc as well, but with the bills only being issued for those once a year I didn't really want to mess with those and get new bills issued all the time, but energy is one you can easily amend the DD for yourself any time if you find you've got too much credit.

The in-store offers on ZipZero are really worth having, you opt in before you do your shopping and they give you 2/3% cashback once you scan your receipt in.

Zipzero sounds like it's really useful. I don't know how you manage to keep up with everything!

Neither do I, if I'm honest! Have had a very hectic weekend - just about to embark on a couple of hours bum on seat time before I have to cook dinner!
