    Ed, you are blowing my mind 🤯 Can I just stick to detective dramas for now please 🤣?
    Sorry for being confuzzling. If inflation returns to its longer term range then yes, you might be able to net off inflation vs interest and assume your returns will be money added to LISA * 1.25.

    On an unrelated note, I remember Des Barnes, my mother fell asleep to Corrie for about 10 years :D

    There is something very unexciting about an account that only has 3 transactions a year though (me paying in/Govt bonus added/interest added)!

    Once I'm 50 and can't pay in for 10 years, it'll only be the interest going on once a year 🥱

    Right, Austerity April update (and yes, I do appreciate the irony of posting this on the same day I said I've put £4k into savings that I won't be able to access for 20 years 🤣)!

    Target = £74/£94
    Opening balance = £48.36

    -£1.76 bank account fee (net of cashback)
    +£6.20 Prolific
    -£3.50 parking
    +5.00 Shoppix
    -£1.99 S&S ISA fees
    +£10.00 Storewards
    -£1.95 laundry bag

    Current balance = £60.36

    So, progress, even though I've not managed to not spend anything! I wasn't expecting the S&S fees, but don't want them being taken from my hard-earned gainz, so that was money well spent, as was the laundry bag as the zip has just broken on the current one and I'm not letting my underwires run the gauntlet of the washing machine (I lost three bras in three weeks about 18 months ago, still not mentally recovered 😳). The parking charge was my fault for raving about how the RingGo app is a game-changer, but I got a free meal out of it, so not begrudging that; and the bank fee is partly my fault for having small bills to earn cashback on, and partly Santander's for never quite managing to pay the cashback on every bill every month (next month I'll end up with two months' worth on some of them instead). So in summary, going OK so far!

    I'm keeping an eye out for the other episode now, just so I can prove to myself I haven't completely lost the plot!
