I had the pleasant realisation that I am a muppet* earlier. While I'd always counted the Govt bonus in my workings for the LISA, I've never actually taken into account the interest (probably because it's not been a "thing" for so long). Assuming an average rate of 2% (it's recently gone up to 3%), it's going to be worth £25k more than I'd thought by the time I can access it 😮 That's not a bad outcome, even if it is 20 years away 🤣!
*News/not news? Discuss 🤣!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

I was watching an old Inspector Morse episode recently and kept thinking there were people who looked familiar, but I couldn’t quite place them. I thought “I bet @South_coast would know! Must be time for a picture on here!Not sure why I said “old” as they are all old 🤷♀️2025 decluttering: 4,019 🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅🌟

I was watching an episode of Poirot recently and found myself sending screenshots to Mr MV as they had the old Brighton pier in the background (intact). I nearly posted them here too! 😂Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Definitely not a muppet as I also hadn't accounted for possible interest on the LISA balance when I can access it, so might be slightly better off than I think!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20172

Hurrrah, another muppet 🤣!Pretty sure it's Eastbourne rather than Brighton, Vix. There are a couple of other Eastbourne locations in the same episode....and I'm a bit of a fan of piers....Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

I’m pretty sure it was Brighton - the story was based in Brighton and I know it quite well - and the pier was quite an unusual shape! (It was an episode on demand - not sure if there has been one on live recently!).Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Ah, but there is also a Poirot set in Cornwall (it's even called "The Cornish Mystery") which was 100% filmed in Somerset 🤣🤣🤣! One easy way to tell between the two, all the railings etc on Brighton seafront are painted turquoise and in Eastbourne they're royal blueMortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
