Not much done over the weekend as I have been hit hard by a cold/upper respiratory tract virus kindly donated by DD. However, got quite a bit done on Friday. Some more decluttering done, although I'm really struggling to find things now... there is probably the odd thing around, but it's hard to spot things unless you think of them or are in a certain drawer when it's only a small percentage of what you currently have. Maintenance is hard and I need to keep my eyes peeled when you have little ones that change so fast. I seem to find the most by simply tidying up, but also challenging myself as to the areas I dread putting things away in as I know they are the most rammed.I sorted out wrapping all the presents on Friday which also meant a big area of the "messy room" (formally the RoD) got cleared up and then I was inspired to keep tidying it. It is now being upgraded to simply a slightly untidy room. I can almost see the end of the tidying although I have completely lost all motivation. I am hoping it's just the illness and I'll get some motivation back next week.I've started going through a few emails everyday. Just dipped under 400 in my inbox now, so going in the right direction all be it very slowly. Lots cleared off the to do list, although still lots on there. Still need to finish spring cleaning the kitchen as I'm only 1/4 of the way through and at some point I should tackle my wardrobe again and the two big cupboards (upstairs and downstairs). I guess I'm not in a rush though as this is general maintenance that is ongoing forever, so as long as things are getting done and it's getting better, it doesn't really matter how long it takes. The non-kitchen places will probably be a new year thing now.Decluttering progress:4939 - broken light to tip pile (DH refuses to go unless the pile is large enough and we barely throw anything away so it'll take forever... it's in the far side of the garage though so I never see it).4940 - unrepairable socks to the recycling pile4941-64 - kids clothes grown out of (charity pile)I definitely need to get the charity stuff posted off in the next couple of weeks as then it'll free up the slightly untidy room even more.2025 decluttering: 3,452🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

DS3 had misunderstood the phrase 'bridesmaid stuff'. Yesterday's bridesmaid stuff consisted of watching the bride to be try on many many dresses. To add to his confusion they kept asking him for his opinion. He was also bemused by anyone contemplating spending £700 on a dress. I think we talked her into finding a style she likes and then trawling the charity shops for it.9

I've decluttered some stress and been working on my latch hook project.
I don't know how many years it was sat in the cupboard. It now needs edging and making into a cushion cover.
In the meantime there's another latch hook kit in the cupboard waiting for my attention....😊 I'm on a roll.

🤣🤣🤣🤣
The TARDIS strikes again!!!!
I went into the cupboard to retrieve the 'sunflower' cushion (12" x 12") latch hook kit.
But what's this?
Another box? A bigger box!
Another latch hook kit!
A wall hanging. 24" x 34". Puppies.
So. I'll complete the sunflower kit. Then I'll move on to the puppies.
It's like Christmas 🤶
Oh and the packaging and instructions for the fish kit have been set aside to go in the recycling bin tomorrow. 😇

Ironing pile halved and ironing put away!Christmas window lights and baubles went up on Friday and we’ve written some of the Christmas cards. I need to fish my address book out for the rest and that’s upstairs and I and the cards are not.A rummage in the cupboard under the stairs is due to find a large envelope to send the Americans their cards (being very MSE and sending them to one of my cousins to distribute to the rest as they all live nearby).✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Good Morning, long time ,no see. 251 posts ago to be exact. I have had so much on and have been meeting myself coming back! It is only now that I have had the time to reset my password, again!
I have read the posts, and enjoyed the photos. As usual everyone has been hard at it. Quite a lot has left Vulpix towers but I am not sure if I can remember it all but here goes.
Dead microwave
dead toaster
recipe box
heel grips
nope,short term memory fail.
There have been ins,new microwave, new toaster and of course new kettle to match. I have saved the old kettle because it was an emergency purchase not that long ago when the other kettle packed up! I have also purchased a butlers tray from fb for the grand sum of £3. I have painted it black and am rather enamoured with it. I have a hobby of a bit of furniture upcycling and selling on. It's days may be numbered but for now I like it. Currently it is holding 3 lovely lanterns which bit by bit wombled on the way to my house the other day. I will post a pic when I sort out my phone.
A splendid day out was had with bit by bit to a craft fair at my ancestral home, Hardwick Hall in Bakewell. Hahahaha, I wish. I am a descendant of the family but am not a key holder! It was quite lovely but helped by a bad back I didn't buy anything because all I was looking for was somewhere to sit down! We went on to have a nice lunch and small beer at a local brewery.
A lovely time was had at our community Christmas Fair. A couple of us from craft club did a Christmas craft stall for the children, Christmas trees and Santa searchers, basically decorated binoculars to look for father Christmas. We were so busy I didn't get time to look round so purchased nowt.
Builders are expected "before Christmas" to take a fireplace out and move a radiator. Another in,a new electric fire that looks like a wood burner. So no Christmas decorations up for us unless the builders come imminently, but I expect it will be Christmas week. The children and partners have rented an air b n b just up the road from the 28th. We will all gather there for Christmas feasting and merriment. Actual Christmas for us will be very quiet and with food we fancy, not Christmas dinner. My Mum is going to my brothers for Christmas and currently MIL is in hospital.
December is a very busy month for Mr V, he works night and day. Making hay whilst the sun shines. After New Years Eve his work load gets back to normal. It does mean though that I don't get out much to enjoy festive things. I have booked an afternoon tea for his Birthday which was a secret Santa gift last year, have booked it several times and had to cancel because of various crises with mothers. Luckily it is good till 2023.
The work on the road is ongoing. Waiting for a part then too much water. As a gesture of goodwill for our patience they are going to fill in some massive potholes on our private road when they are done. yessssss.
Sorry for the huge post, it is decluttering of a kind.
Love to all Vx

Morning all xx
I've brought the rest of my Alistair MacLean books and six books by James Herriott down from RoD.
They will be relocated on a TARDIS shelf.
Every little helps

Hi there declutterers!
I have been MIA for a couple of years but decided to set myself a bit of an advent challenge on the decluttering front. I’ve decided to declutter 10 items a day in advent. Being the perennial latecomer that I am, I’m already 4 days behind so today will be a mammoth 50 item clear out!Wish me luck!0/240

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV during daylight hours 😉 AB2 playing zero - 20/9/2022
4. Declutter/Relocate one item every time I stand up.
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bedSunday was another dry, chilly day. DSis did her washing & used td. DH filled the bird feeders, fed the worms & filled the compost bins. Another lazy day as I kept nodding off. Finished knitting a scarf & halfway through a 2nd, cleared down a few more programmes from planner, made dinner - gammon, egg, chips & beans. Wudupa. Hm soup for lunch.
Monday has started overcast & chilly. DH headed off to doctor 9:40 for a 10:10 a.m. appointment. I am having my first cuppa & watching a film - The Outfit - very good. DH is back (10:40) and needs to visit the Royal London for an X-ray. Apparently the doctor was very efficient & thinks DH has a trapped nerve in his neck which causes him to nod off. Sadly the doctor is only a locum & today was his last day 🙁

What a kind mum you are nannywindow 😊 turning your home into a laundry 😉 How exciting for your DD - a new kitchen 🙂 Hope you enjoyed the carol concert. Fingers crossed that your Dad gets his new hearing aid quickly 🤞
Nonsense EnergyShifter - I have faith in you because you are an excellent declutterer 🙂 as proved by recharging your batteries & then decluttering 👏Yippee grandmanerd - you & DS have worked so hard on getting the wall down 👏 A rather gruelling physical exercise regime combined with a great money saving exercise 👏 Loving that ‘your repair’ was so sturdy 😉 The bereavement service does sound rather unusual but rather lovely & what a joy having Brian the dog about 😊 Definitely charging along with your numbers 🙂Good decluttering GrannyKate 👏Sorry to hear that you are unwell QueenJess - seems to be a lot of colds/flu & general malaise all round 😔🙁 Please do try to take some time for a bit of TLC 🙏 Excellent work on Friday 👏 The ‘messy room’ is so much less daunting than the Room of Doom - I hope you are very proud of yourself 🥹 Hopefully you can get the charity stuff posted off before Christmas so the messy room goes to being the slightly untidy room 👏
Love the misunderstanding grandmanerd 😂
What a lovely thing roundtuit 🙂 and joy of joys your TARDIS has provided you with a couple more latch hook kits 👏 An early Christmas present to yourself 😊Excellent work florianatwobob 👏 Very MSE re postage to America 🙂
Great work TC77 👏 Remember anything done is a win 🙂
Lovely to see you vulpix 👋 Sounds like you have been under the cosh - meeting yourself coming back sounds rather disconcerting 😥 A bit of an expensive time having to replace so many appliances 😔 Loving that bit_by_bit has been wombling bits for you 😉 a good partnership 😊 You have had a couple of nice days out but such a shame that your enjoyment was curtailed by your bad back 🙁 Sending healing vibes 🙂 Sounds like the perfect Christmas to me 👏 The silver lining to MrV being so busy in December is that he is not underfoot 🙃😉 What an excellent offer by the road workers - filling in potholes is way to compensate for being nuisances 😉
Well done roundtuit - you are gradually taming your TARDIS 👏
Lovely to see you VickyV 👋 Never too late to join in 🙂 Now that you are here, you will receive plenty of encouragement - so wishing you every success on reaching your stated target of 240 🍀MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅🥇 🌟 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
