Thank you whom ever it was who suggested minimalist mom on YouTube.spent last night watching that. I am at maintenance level, but found a lot of what she said about sentimental things and her approach very good. I actually went in the kitchen and cleared a bag full of stuff, mainly attachments for a food processor I barely use and the attachments never been used.Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.11

IT ONLY TAKES SMALL DAILY ACTIONSFOR MAGIC TO HAPPENRosemary Ikpeme11 -
I've sorted through the books retrieved from RoD yesterday:
1 book - cs
7 books - keep
After sending 100% of piles of books from LR to cs I'm not beating myself up for not donating 50% of this selection.

I've brought the last pile of books down from my bedroom and hoovered three quarters of the bedroom floor + skirting boards. Byebye dust bunnies. Hello carpet. It looks much better but the hoover smells hot so I've switched it off and opened the bedroom window to let in some fresh air.
I need coffee

Watched a couple of minimalist YouTube videos and promptly put 16 books in the charity bag. Will try and drop those off later today. I had PDSA bag through the door for Tuesday so they could go in that. I will try to fill it up before collection.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV during daylight hours 😉 AB2 playing zero - 20/9/2022
4. Declutter/Relocate one item every time I stand up.
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bedI did do the wudupa on Wednesday night 😉 Thursday was a dry but chilly day. Knitted 2 more ear-warmer headbands & started another scarf. DH peeled & chopped a couple of squashes & sweet potatoes which I seasoned with olive oil, salt & paprika & roasted - 2 full roasting tins. Contents of one tin used with various leftovers to make a mainly vegetable based soup. Dinner was the 2nd of the HF meals - a bit of a faff to make but delicious 😋 - lamb meatballs in a sweet onion, rosemary/redcurrant jelly sauce with cheesy mash & roasted carrots. My favourite so far although all 3 of us agreed that more carrots would have been lovely 😉 Wudupa. Paid milkman about 3:00 a.m. Friday. Then instead of going straight to bed promptly fell asleep on the sofa for a couple of hours 😬
Friday is dull & overcast with a large hint of rain 🙁 The soup is on. The recycling bin was emptied - just a day late 🙂
2066 - 2072 Kitchen recycling, 3 newspapers, drinks cans, cardboard packaging, glass jar - recycled2073 - 2075 Kitchen detritus, plastic packaging, shredder bin emptied - binned
Thanks TC77 👏 There is an ulterior motive for knitting - keeps my hands busy so I am not snacking 😂 Well done to your DD2, volunteering & bringing home cs finds 👏 Exciting - decorator coming in & giving you an incentive to declutter & clean 😉
Good advice Floss 🙂
GrannyKate, seems a bit ‘mean’ (not the word I want to use 😉 ) if you have to pay another excess - surely if there is a 2nd leak, it should have been found at the same time as the first one 🤔 🤨roundtuit, You must be able to see the floor in the RofD now 🙂 Did you ever find the bedside cabinet? or have I just missed you mentioning it 🤨 Good decluttering of books 👏 Sounds like you are on the final leg of that particular decluttering journey 🤞Yippee to a clear bedroom floor 🥳 Sounds like your hoover needs a bit of TLC - which reminds me I need to give mine a bit of TLC as well 😉Thanks bit_by_bit 🙂 Nothing wrong with a messy dining room especially as once the presents are wrapped & seeds are sorted it will no longer be messy 😉 Good luck with the bedroom decorating 🍀 You have been very busy - excellent decluttering 👏 Enjoy your visit with vulpix - so nice that you have found each other & are firm friends 😊 Good news about the Christmas/birthday wrapping & cards - usually that sort of thing would have gone walkabout 😉

@Mrs_Salad_Dodger you've not missed anything...bedside cabinet is not in RoD 😢 It may be in the Shed of Doom or the Cupboard of Doom?? I live in hope. The worrying thing is that on my Toots List (Flylady) dated 2011 it says Fetch bedside cabinet from mum and dad's.......which I don't remember actually doing, and it's definitely not at their house as I've looked. But then neither is my coffee table which had mysteriously disappeared when I went to collect it. And I could remember exactly where that was in their back bedroom 🤔 So who knows 🤷♀️
I've removed the dust from the books that were on my bedroom floor (sneeze) and they have been found a home on a (dusted) shelf on the TARDIS.
It's all progress 😊

Hello all, I've finally come out of the TLC carriage. I admitted myself after I was overwhelmed with a fit of the doldrums and got my knickers in a twist about xmas as I hadn't sorted anything. Then was laid low by the covid jab, the double one really upset me, plus I think I've put on lbs sitting around feeling sorry for myself and snacking. Even the ones in the TLC carriage put my weight on, that's my story and I'm sticking to it 🤣 Sorry I haven't read back but I haven't posted since Nov 4th 😲. Anyway finally out this week:-
1 black bag full of shed detritus
A large amount of flattened cardboard, mostly from the deliveries of xmas presents for the DGC (I got my act together at last 👏)
Today out lots of the same photo of my Dad, had to print out several before getting it just right as the printer was playing up.
2 read caravan magazines plus many leaflets/ xmas mags and sorted and read letters.
Finished up the last of a roll of birthday wrap on DD's presents ready for next week and put the inner in the cardboard recycling.
Used up ingredients from my baking cupboard and made my xmas cakes (normally do those in Oct 🙄) Also used up food from the fridge and made a large batch of corned beef stew so there's plenty left over to freeze too.
Finally decluttered lots of read emails.
Hope everyone is well many hugs winging your way if not 🧡
Take care all

Had my day off today. Did some impromptu decluttering and cleaning this morning - started as a result of not being able to find one of my hearing aids - moved the bed to see if it had fallen under - no hearing aid but lots of dust so washed the floor and ended up reconfiguring my bedroom - much more roomy now. Turns out the hearing aid was in my ear all along

6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bedFriday has been mainly dry with a few spits of rain & the temperature has fallen quite considerably.
I have dealt with one of my frogs - have emptied & cleaned the kitchen fridge/freezer 🥳 Binned 2 small pots of unidentifiable frozen liquids & freezer burned chicory + decanted 3 small pots of seasoned breadcrumbs into one small freezer bag. Both fridge & freezer are now clean, sorted & everything is labelled. Tomorrow I will deal with the celery & Choi sum that is in the fridge as I now have a little space in the freezer. The hm soup is tasty if a little sweet - that will be all the roasted squash 😉 I am also halfway through knitting a scarf. DH had a call from the doctor & now has an appointment for Monday at the surgery - something for me to worry about over the weekend 😔 No joy with Ernie this month although DH won £75. An unexpected expense - need a new toilet seat as one of the metal hinges connecting the seat to the lid has snapped 🤔 Dinner was the last of our HF meals - penne beef ragu with cheesy garlic bread. Delicious 😋 & the los have been boxed & frozen. Wudupa.
2076 - 2080 Kitchen recycling, foil tray, drinks cans, paperwork, cardboard packaging - recycled
2081 Kitchen detritus binned
🤔 the case of the vanishing bedside cabinet & coffee table 🧐 Sounds like your parents have a TARDIS as well, roundtuit 😬 Well done on relocating books from floor to shelf 👏
Welcome back from the TLC Carriage nannywindow - lovely to see you back 👋 I agree that spending more than a few days the TLC Carriage does pile on the pounds - there is so much to choose from & you must try everything - my downfall is the Gypsy Tart & freshly made focaccia 😅
Excellent decluttering & completion of tasks - you are definitely back with a vengeance 👏EnergyShifter, I think you knew your hearing aid was in your ear all along - you just had to trick yourself into doing some decluttering 😉🙃 Excellent work 👏MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅🥇 🌟 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
