Good morning xx
I'm still sat in the TLC carriage dunking hob nobs in my brew but I can report that something has left the house today. 😊
P & S called for coffee resulting in:
In
One Advent Calendar
Out
Two Advent Calendars
5 notebooks - originally designated for cs or work (S mentioned that she needed a notebook- say no more)
2 bags of books for cs - which P & S are taking for me on one of their regular trips to town.
And breathe....
Hugs to all
Rxx

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV during daylight hours 😉 AB2 playing zero - 20/9/2022
4. Declutter/Relocate one item every time I stand up.
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bedSorry for not posting for a couple of days 😔 A combination of feeling headachy, cold & generally meugh even though the weather has been dry. Cannot seem to summon up the enthusiasm for anything other than knitting.Thursday - I finished knitting the 7th pair of wrist warmers. I sewed up 4 pairs BUT the 5th pair was two right hands 😱 So I knitted two left hands & sewed together. Now have 7 beanies, 8 pairs of wrist warmers & 7 scarves. My birthday flowers have lasted well - sorted my two vases of flowers into one vase. DH enjoyed his day out - only bought some lunch. He had a pleasant journey on train to Birmingham sat in 1st Class but had to stand on the way back into London as the train was packed to the gunwales. Dinner was fried eggs, bacon, oven chips & baked beans. Wudupa.
Friday we cancelled our lunch date with DH’s niece as I was not feeling well 🙁 & as she is cv neither of us thought it right to risk giving her any extra bugs. I have started knitting an ear warmer headband - triple cable pattern. Did write a shopping list for DH & sent him to MrS. Dinner was pork steaks, mash, peas & fried up lo cabbage/spring greens. Wudupa.
Saturday I am up & dressed for the first time in days. Feeling a bit brighter. Just had a quick chat to neighbour G re the knitted items - he will check with his church volunteer group 🤞

Yippee - I have hit my target & awarded myself a Gold Star ⭐️ 🥳
Wishing you success with your washing & drying marathon Fizz2015 🍀 I think the sense of a job well done & the joy of clearing the bin bags will far outweigh the cost of using the tumble dryer 🤞😉 Which reminds me I need to do some washing so will be back shortly 😉

Thank you for lovely comments about my paint-job- lots of other teal fans out there ! I love the sound of your diner set Daisy. I like Mustard Yellow too Ruby - I've got a few accessories in that colour.
TC77 - thanks for good wishes re: DS
Welcome Back Natty - Another option for getting started is set a timer and just do a sweep! Also I find listening / watching motivational stuff - Someone here recommended "Decluttering at the Speed of Life" which I can highly recommend.

Cheerleading post number 1Deni_debt-free_dreamer, you are excused not catching up 😉 You have a very good reason - decluttering your mortgage as quickly as possible is the BEST decluttering of all 👏 so one medal 🏅coming your way 🙂 Also I am wishing you every success with your selling 😊
Siebrie, perhaps your Dad can start a new career - doll’s house maker 😉
2Scratters, sorry about the little watch - not the sort of decluttering that is appreciated 😔 Excellent cleaning work although not too sure I would appreciate a coffee machine nagging me 🙃 Very pleased for you that the tumble dryer is working properly 🙂 One of those maintenance jobs that I forget to do - I feel a list coming on 😄 Hope you have managed to get some Euros 🤞 As I keep falling behind with the cheerleading, I will take this opportunity to wish you a lovely holiday with your friends 😊 Don’t forget to leave your DH with a list of small tasks to do whilst you are away 😉😉
Great work mhagster 👏
TC77, hope the gasman can sort out the thermostats 🤞 perhaps you can blindfold him until he reaches the specific areas he needs to work in 🤣 Joking aside, as long as he can do his work I doubt if he will even notice the clutter 🤞Good luck with the sale of the sledges 🍀

I'm still spring cleaning as and when I can. It's so slow that I don't even think I'll finish the kitchen by the end of the year! I have done DS's room and half of DD's room though, so all is not lost. When I finish the house I'll just go round again anyway as a continuous maintenance effort.Cleaned out a drawer in the kitchen (no energy for more than that as been up for the last three nights nursing a poorly DD). I did also did some tidying (eventually everything might be tidy...) and found some bits to get rid of as a result. Also been dealing with DS's paper creations every week - he decides which to keep and which to get rid of. Keeps the box in his room a little emptier and then he can go through it again once it fills up.Decluttering activity for today:4816-19 - digital notes deleted4820-25 - paper (recycled)4826-49 - digital photos deleted4850-63 - kitchen plastic clips (buy nothing)4864 - lampshade (buy nothing)4865-71 - various kitchen bits/broken boxes (recycled)Getting closer to my 5,000 target!2025 decluttering: 3,452🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

Latch Hook Kit retrieved from the cupboard where it has lived unopened for many years.
Latch hook retrieved from kitchen drawer....🤦♀️ that drawer needs sorting out. But not today.
And I've been sitting in the TLC carriage hooking away and listening to Radio 2 on the telly.
Decluttering some stress 😊

I've got one of those kits in the Christmas present box it is destined for my lovely daughter-in-law.
I'm having a declutter / sort out this weekend, I acquired an under counter freezer last night for £30, to sit in the landing cupboard. So the carpet has come up, the 2x2 cube unit is out & the boxes emptied, there is a heap for the tip, some stuff for my sis-in-law & some for the shed. Tomorrow I will go to the tip & to Ikea for a small shelf unit to sit beside the freezer, then I need to sort the cable to the nearest plug & switch it on.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Tc77 I think maybe you already know the issue and the solution with your shelves. Open shelves look great with a few nicely placed items and plants however they are always going to get dusty and greasy. If changing them for closed cupboards isn't an option then perhaps only a few dangly plants from the top shelves and maybe a couple of your storage boxes on the middle shelf in the space and leave the lowest shelf as it is? It looks like it has useful stuff easily to hand?
The open shelves do look lovely and appear to compliment your kitchen but if stuff on the top shelf annoys you when you do look at it, is too high to reach and most of the time you don't look at it then maybe it should just be ornamental stuff up there?
Hope this helps even a tiny bit

Morning All,OH and I are still getting over our colds. But have managed to destroy both sets of mouldy drawers and I took them to the tip in the dark and rain yesterday. New drawers have been built by OH and DSS. There is washing everywhere as I am adamant everything is sorted and decluttered before things go away.
Today's jobs are sorting the clothes before putting away (might take more than a day). Carry on with the washing mountain and attempt ironing or at least DD's uniform. Sure I'll do plenty more but trying to be realistic with what can be achieved to not overwhelm myself.
Back later to update my tally.9
