@Floss aye, he is a bonny lad and you remembered right, he is on the side of the Civic Centre. I’ve been meaning to stop by when I’ve been in Newcastle but only managed it yesterday. I do like a good bit of public art.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

What an impressive piece of art @florianatwobob
Got a dental frog this morning and then a clear day. I have a lot of small bits to do and work in the house towards DD boyfirend visit after Christmas plus some present buying.
Have a great day all.

@TC77 there can be good money made from selling vintage sledges!@bit_by_bit I do love him, the sculptor has created something that feels like a force of nature.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

@TC77 echo the vintage sledge can be sold!! Also any furniture would be used by heart foundation charity or if you have locally a charity that helps homeless people , then you would be helping others without the guilt of having to keep things you don’t have room for. These type of charities will collect too.Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.11

Had a lovely weekend with my best friend staying - managed to declutter her Christmas presents to her and a couple of bottles of wine!
House is looking fairly clean and tidy which is good as we have more guests this weekend too! Did buy a new mop to make that whole process a lot easier (it's one of those ones with the built in spray) and so far so good. Will keep the old one for when things need a deeper clean. Have a couple of replacements coming in to the home soon, so not so much a declutter. My last pair of sunglasses finally gave up the ghost while we were away in October and so decided to replace the multiple cheap pairs with a more expensive pair in the hope that they last longer than a year! Managed to get some in the various black friday sales with an additional discount on top as I work in the NHS. Also replacing my day to day hand bag with again, something slightly more expensive but have bought it second hand so it was a) a lot cheaper and b) I'm doing my bit for the environment. The old one has hung on as long as possible but the straps went at the weekend and it's beyond repair 😢. The new one will hopefully last for many many years to come.
Do also have much washing to be done but the washing machine decided last night that it was going to stop pumping water out so had to empty it the old fashioned way. DH is going to check the outlet pipe after work and see if there's a blockage that needs shifting. Really hoping that's all it is - the filter was fine when I checked that and don't really want to be replacing the washing machine any time soon!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 201711 -
More papers plus some photos went at the weekend. Since then been dealing with frogs with the help of DSis. V frustrating that most things have to be done at least 3 times before they are right and this is why I put things off.

Having a bit of a 'mare here. Thought I was well enough to return to work yesterday, and I wasn't. Nuf said.
So today I've decluttered rather a lot of time on the phone to the doctors surgery. Hopefully I'll be rewarded with a sick note tomorrow....after waiting all day because no-one said it wouldn't be today.
And I've booked some counselling sessions through work....I actually rang the number because I was having a meltdown over the sick note ..... and came away with a first session booked for over the phone on Friday morning.
So I've decluttered a few tears today.
I've also put out the recycling, skimmed through a magazine and put it in the recycling, and put the garden waste bin and the bin for cardboard/ plastic out to be emptied in the morning.
Next I'm going to 'declutter' a couple of mozzarella burgers from the freezer because I'm suddenly hungry.
Baby steps are all that can be taken some days. But that's fine.
