I sympathise Mrs SD with the gardening activities this year. The chillies have not been plentiful this year….
I hope to over winter the plants so they can think about what they’ve (not) done and try harder next year! 😉✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Back home with a suitcase (for donation hub) some items to sell and some for me
Stopped at DB's house (mainly been seeing him at my dad's) and looks abit like our dad's house, as does mine...and in a 'collector's' way!.
Neither of my DDs seem to want much if anything from their grandads. DD1 seems abit better but know it will be difficult next few years, she finds working nights tough on her placement . Brought her my DMs 1940 stage make up box (very simple black metal with a mirror and pull out section) - complete with left over make up! DD1 did drama before going to uni for her nursing and she was very close to her granny. Few more things on gumtree and free sites hoping they will go. Also shredding papers.
Resisted in all the higher quality CS down there except a JLewis short coat with label still on it.
When the llbs are decluttered will have big clothes declutter ...not holding my breath.
Hope everyone is taking some time to chill, and go into the TLC carriage when needed.9 -
bit by bit my signature keeps being reset too.More tidying done, a few things out of the little bedroom and OH has cleaned some things from the shed and put them back in the living room where they belong.
Went through a couple of files in the filing cabinet and was able to slim them both down significantly. Need to do the same in the bottom drawer in order to fit some papers in - it’s currently a case of giving them a good shove to get them in and I want it to be easier than that.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅9 -

Filled one of my 4 empty boxes that have been earmarked for kitchen stuff I want to keep, yesterday evening. Stopped when the cramp in my upper leg really started to hurt. I was sitting perched sidewards at the end of the bed but had to twist a bit to hold the box with one hand and filling it with the other. looks as though 4 boxes will be plenty, I've already decided to put one or two things back in the kitchen (oddments from previous plate collections, much loved but only a couple left in different sizes).
Today I've been working at the kitchen table and now have 5 empty bags (2 bags for life, 3 carriers) as well as a number of boxes - the boxes were pressed into service to hold the categories that had been identified. Many, many screws have been sorted, a few nails and small quantities of drawer knobs, padlocks, single and double coat hooks, picture hooks, shelf brackets and other bits. I have part filled bags of rubbish, paper for recycling and garden things, 6 more went to the bins including 3 green waste - a rubble sack of sawn/ chopped small branches, collected twigs and handfuls of 'leaf litter' (leaving the nettles and the soil layer behind) and I unravelled a basket lid (lengths of grasses bound with thicker grass and then each layer tied in to the previous one - all compostable). One box (a deep top layer for a tool box, most recently used for paint brushes/ scrapers etc) is in the sink filled with water (filled, wiped, scrubbed and now having a little soak to see if more will come off).
I filled a heart shaped container (bought in last year's end of season sale) with fat balls for the birds and hung it in next door's yard. They were a bit mouldy but picked out the best ones and binned the rest. If the birds don't like them, there are 2 more boxes but I need to move stuff to get at them. Just decided I was definitely not up for doing another lot of sawing so I'm back upstairs resting. I will need to go downstairs later for food so will think what to tackle whilst I'm down there. i also started throwing loose bricks into next door's yard (need to finish clearing the backs and clear both the drains). My back wall is being repaired this month so need somewhere for the brickie to put his feet - the fallen wall is slanting towards my wall.
Have written many lists and have an outline plan for November. I'm calling it 20 (at least 30 bricks and giving myself one point for 10 bricks), so 689/ 2022.8 -
Still going!

6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Saturday stayed dry, warm & sunny. My planning led to sorting out 2 days mail - writing cheques, filing, recycling & shredding. Knitted half a scarf (using one ball of yarn for each scarf) Also sourced a couple of food items from stores - my contents list is proving useful 🙂 Dinner was the 2nd half of last night’s Chinese. Left the washing up for Sunday.
1845 - 1849 Kitchen & 0.5” paper recycling, 2 booklets, small glass jar - recycled
1850 Kitchen detritus binned
Sunday is a gloriously sunny, warm & dry day. Took advantage of the extra hour by going to bed early & managed TWO 3.5 hour sleeps with an hour up in between. Up at 9:30, cuppa & cleared down a few programmes from TV planner. Then DH & I took advantage of the nice weather to do a bit of gardening - 1.5hrs clearing, tidying & weeding, filling up the bird feeders + relocating a couple of plants (hope we haven’t killed them 🤞) & covering up the rhubarb crowns. Both compost bins are now full to the brim & we have half a bag of garden waste. Looks a lot neater & weather permitting we will carry on over the next few days. 1.5hrs seems to be our limit - avoids being unable to move 😉 Have done last night’s washing up & left to dry. Now put away.
1851 Shredder bin emptied
1852 - 1856 Five plastic takeaway boxes & lids - recycled
Good work roundtuit 👏
What a great looking chilli florianatwobob 🙂 Crossing everything that your overwintering works 🤞
Excellent decluttering TC77 👏 & good luck with the sales 🍀 Sending positive thoughts & vibes to DD1 that she continues to get better. Your clothes decluttering does not need to wait until a few lbs have evaporated 😉 Perhaps clothes that you don’t like could be culled now 😉 Which reminds me I need to sort out the hanging clothes in my wardrobe 😔
Great work oceanspirit 👏 and good luck with thinning out the bottom drawer of the filing cabinet 🍀
