Yesterday rang tax office and got advice so hopefully fill form at weekend 47
Rang to get some advice, waiting for call back but counting as 48
Been binning old food at my dads, think 1987 cake decorations were the oldest but have some old medicines from around 1950s. 1000s of dvd/cds and lots of remotes but none seem to fit the many small old tvs! Big tv in the home with him. Back to mine tomorrow- taking books i lent him( too small print ) and a few extra. No cds/dvds returning wirh me ,( at the moment)
Incentive to sort my own things out. Think ok to have books I would like to read should I have time but not clothes I don't like and would never actually wear or things I don't like.
The train is speeding along......15 -

Rubbish bin and food waste been emptied today. Although it’s been very nearly 3 weeks since the rubbish bin was collected it still wasn’t much more than half full. Which, considering Christmas has happened, I’m still quite happy about as it’s less clutter to landfill.Charity doorstep collection bags arrived yesterday so I’ve sorted out the stuff that they’d like and that will be left out for them tomorrow which will declutter my hall.I also managed to pass on some Christmas cards to a local lady for her her after school craft club.Decluttered today’s recycling too and rounded up the dead pens to take to our local terracycling drop off point next time I’m that end of town.I am continuing with my ‘one touch approach’ to things in the house. I currently feel like I’m in constant motion as things go where they belong but it does increase my step count!
Tomorrow’s big job is to get the large parcel in the post and free up the floor space it currently occupies.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Not the start to this year that I wanted. One major frog that I wanted to tackle is still wrestling......(Iknow what I mean)
So outside of normal duties (cooking, walking tiggy etc) I tackled a different kind of frog, taking my own advice in an earlier post.
Approx 16 thousand (yes, you read right) emails deleted through the course of the day. Page loading was so slow. But I got it done.

I felt like that when wrangling the Swiss tax authorities.
I gave myself 2 frogs to tackle on 1st Jan.
The first to weigh myself. I did that.
The second was to go to Experian and find out exactly how much I owe in one lump sum and individually so that I can begin the process of decluttering debt. Haven't been able to....

Waiting for DH to put drawers together so I can start going through their clothes but finally getting to the last boxes of the major hoarder (ones that are in their room, there's still loads in our room from when we swapped rooms but I can do them when she's not looking 🤣).

@EnergyShifter I reckon just accepting that you won't get anything done on your taxes until the weekend will make you feel better about it. Otherwise, if you're anything like me, it'll just make the next couple of days feel a bit unsatisfacory as you'll feel bad for not doing it - if that makes sense. Free yourself from that - you don't have the capacity until the weekend, so you don't need to think about it until then.
@balabooberlies 16,000 emails.....Wow! That makes the 700 I deleted look a bit pathetic - must try harder!!! Oh, and well done on facing one of your fears. Good luck for when you bite the bullet and face the 2nd one.
After I'd sent off my tax stuff today it was a real battle not to just give in and do nothing for the rest of the day. I did have some tuition though, so had to keep going for that.... Again, I've managed to write up all of my tuition notes from today and have left the kitchen tidy for the morning.
Almost forgot, I had a (small) bag leave the premises today:
11. returned a shirt to the shop - bought before Christmas on a whim, and it just wasn't me. Usually, I'd have kept it anyway, so this is progress!!!
