weenancy, it's going to sound awful, but maybe just throw the slides away? Those slides were your uncle's experience and memories, and you are making your own. You can't live another's life next to your own.

Liverpool Anne sad news, I hope she's physically OK. Re the blanket, maybe you could finish the blanket & drop it into the Women's or Alder Hey?

Over the weekend we have removed 1 false ceiling, dismantled 1 IKEA cabinet, and dropped it all off at the recycling centre. It was free, because it all counts as wood
, I would say it's mainly sawdust and glue, but I'm not complaining.

Energyshifter, I don't want to give medical advice, but I will share my experience with 'no action necessary': my iron levels are always on the low side, but within the set limits, so the doctor never prescribes any medication. However, for me, in reality, it's too low and one or two iron tablets set me to rights. I buy them over the counter. If you are uncomfortable taking unprescribed meds, maybe eat extra green veg, together with vitamin C (so, a spinach salad and an orange for dessert), or -if the budget stretches to it - a piece of (horse)steak once a fortnight?

Hi all! Just had a massive catch up, not every page though and after a great start to my decluttering this year after reading a decluttering book, I'd love to join to keep my motivation going! As we're 5 months in and I've done a lot already I'm going to try for 1011 things if that's OK?
Just gone through the toy drawers with my youngest as its his birthday on Wednesday so he'll need room! We decluttered 34 things, not counting broken little bits 🙂
I've all kinds of projects planned but just a bit short on the funds for a good while. Aim to declutter the garden too.CCCS DMP:Feb 07

2414-2430: Items to bin and recycling including a couple of "that might be useful" containers.
Still cracking on with the no spend days and tidying up all those little bits that accumulate. Oh! here's another!
2431: brochure from the local art centre: I had every intention of going there over the weekend and didn't.

Waking up in Yosemite Sunday a.m. was absolutely wonderful. Performed our ablutions, got dressed, packed bags & took to van, then had breakfast. Spent a last few minutes on the balcony & said good morning to the lone ground squirrel 🙂 We left at 8:00 a.m. - clear blue skies but a tad chilly as 6,000 feet above sea level - 46F Then a glorious ride through Yosemite, stopped for fuel - restrooms out of commission - the story of the day, then continued out of the Park onto
California 120 - continued as a superb (& DH’s favourite ride of the holiday 😊) ride - sweeping bends, spectacular scenery & everyone was riding well - proper spacing & enjoying their rides 👏 Stopped for coffee in Groveland - eventually found somewhere without a queue for coffee - then it was hunt the restroom ☹️ Eventually managed tofind an open & clean one but meant that our 20 minute stop was more like 40 minutes. Then headed off to Gouda Cheese & Specialities Farm Shop - Josh had preordered grilled ham & cheese sandwiches. Beautiful spot - fountains, picnic benches & a pen of goats, sheep & llamas. DH & I finished off most of the previous day’s lo picnic supplies with some focaccia that he bought in the shop & shared one grilled sandwich & kept the other for Ron. Then onto Highway 4 heading to Richmond bridge & then onto California 101 where all semblance of an ordered & safe convoy of motorbikes went out of the window & into the realms of hell 😉 Most of the bikes went off like a display of the Red Arrows - peeling off in all directions. We were in some semblance of order by the time we got through the tunnel to get to the Golden Gate Bridge view point. Spent some time there taking photos etc. Then back on the bikes, across the Golden Gate Bridge & into San Francisco proper. Up hill & down dale - least said about the riding soonest mended. The ride in the Hilton car park was interesting to say the least 😱 Bit of a trek back to the lobby to pick up suitcases. Lovely room on 11th floor. Had a bit of a rest, then showered & changed, went to lobby but the restaurant was closed so bought a turkey club sandwich & sat in the lobby with a couple of beers from the lobby bar. Just chilling & chatting, shared the sandwich, chatted to our guide Josh who had dined Lebanese & driver Tim who had Chinese. Returned to our room about 9 p.m. repacked the large suitcase, weighed & amended the tags.
Monday is a rest day so we slept in, down to breakfast about 8:30 a.m. Currently repacking the last of the suitcases then off to Pier 39 for a teeny bit of shopping & lunch - clam chowder & sourdough on the menu.See you later.
