@EnergyShifter - EMDR is fab, I found it so helpful about 10 years ago, but also tiring to begin with. So glad I had it, hope yours continues to go well.
- 5 blinds taken to the tip today (restrung multiple times, finally given up the ghost but definitely had my money's worth over 20 years)
- 2 old polystyrene veg boxes also gone. They'd become invisible in the kitchen so I'm really glad to see the back of them.

Started the day straightening out a problem in my Swedish genealogy. Then went to help a young man we have been helping with transport for the last couple of years. His grandmother was moved to Colorado - to live with her daughter. We don't know if the move is permanent or not, but her grandson came back here. He thinks that if he cleans the house, she will be able to come back. but I'm not sure - we managed to clean one bag of cans and bottles and 1 bag of trash, but have barely gotten started. Left him some more bags and will go back later to help a bit. Killed a black widow spider in the kitchen and started having asthma problems, so not sure have much I can do. Then took him to pick up money wired to Walmart and his medicine as well as get his booster shot. So didn't get much else done today. Still have a couple of Frogs to do from Friday.11

Apologies for not posting yesterday i.e Thursday We didn’t end up leaving the Golden Nuggetcar park until about 8:49 a.m. Friday and the temperature was already in the high 70’s. Still no sign of our missing couple ☹️ Getting out of Las Vegas was hellish & by the time we were clear the temperature was mid 80’s However, having learnt the lesson from our arrival in Las Vegas, every time we stopped for comfort breaks or refuelling I made my way to the restrooms & took my t-shirt off & soaked it in cold water plus poured water over my head 🙂 As we made our way out of Nevada to Death Valley, California the temperature continued to rise steadily to 106F but I actually felt fine 🥳 We had icecream at Furnace Creek. Stopped at Hannah Mint Springs for a sit down lunch (pre-ordered) DH had a burger which he thought was delicious until I gave him a forkful of pulled pork - then he cried 😉🤣 Unfortunately when DH was coming out of the restroom having soaked his top & neckerchief he fell victim to a Random Gravity Test 🤕 He hit the deck hard, was hoisted up by half a dozen people (who heard him fall rather than saw him fall) before he had the chance to work out if anything was broken 😬 However, fortunately the initial assessment was slightly bruised ribs & a banged up elbow but did NOT hit his head 🥳 After the initial shock DH put on his jacket & helmet & we set off for Bakersfield on California Route 14. Arrived at our hotel Double Tree by Hilton at Bakersfield. Nice room but the walk to get there took us almost back to Nevada 😂 We showered & changed & went to the hotel bar, had a couple of beers & shared a grilled chicken sandwich & fries. More than enough as we don’t usually have a full lunch. Back in our room by 9:30 p.m. I have discovered I am definitely allergic to feather pillows ☹️ Now to Saturday.
Van loaded by 7:30, cooked breakfast, orange juice & coffee. Left by 8:06 a.m. heading to El Portal in Yosemite National Park along California Route 99. We stopped at the Cheese Factory to pick up bits & pieces for a picnic lunch. Refuelled then rode on to the entrance to Yosemite National Park along some gloriously winding roads. Bit chilly compared to previous days as temperature dropped to about 57F. Entered the park which is stunning, glorious scenery more winding roads & ended up stopping about 2:30 p.m. by the river Merced which was a perfect back drop for our picnic lunch even though only a car park but did have a restroom across the road. A tad smelly - please take that as an understatement🤣 We then headed off to our lodgings for the night - Yosemite View Lodge. Arrived at about 4:00 p.m.We are off to get some dinner now, so that I can find superlatives to describe how wonderful it is 😉🙂
863 Threw away my wrist sweat bands as they were worse than useless.
Apologies for not reading along properly but I did notice that weenancy has injured her foot ☹️ Hope you are okay weenancy.
Back later.

Back again - we decided to get pizza & bring it back to our room. Before I continue we did 368 miles of riding on Friday & about 225 miles today. Now where was I? Oh yes - we had just arrived at Yosemite View Lodge. Bags unloaded from van, briefing given - bags to be back on van by 7:30 a.m. Sunday, breakfast eaten & back on the road by 8:00 a.m. heading to San Francisco. We were given our keys & headed off to our rooms. The room is a home away from home - fridge, small 2 ring cooker, microwave, coffee machine, kitchen sink, cutlery & crockery, 2 armchairs, large TV, double bed, bathroom with jacuzzi bath & shower. Then you open the back door & have a balcony with a couple of chairs & a table 5 metres away from the drop to the Yosemite River - a constant roar of water over the fallen boulders & the other side is a tree covered cliff about 75m away. Large rock pools - some with swirling water & others with still water. Stunning 🤩 We have already seen a couple of lizards, a couple of swifts, about a dozen great tailed grackles & excitingly about half a dozen California ground squirrels - very short legs 😉 After letting the stresses of the day be washed away by the sound of the river, we walked down to the shop to get some milk, some postcards & a gift for my DSis - 3 small carved figures - a wolf’s head, a bear & an eagle with outstretched wings + a fridge magnet for me. When paying we were told that if we were lucky we might see skunks which roam about at night 😮 Went back to our room, showered & changed & watched the grackles & squirrels whilst drinking a coffee. Then off to get our pizza which we ate on the balcony & was absolutely delicious. Re DH’s Random Gravity Test other injuries now apparent are a bruised hip, a slightly twisted knee & a grazed & swollen elbow 😓 to go with the bruised ribs 🤕
I cannot describe just how wonderful Yosemite is - an idyllic location & an added bonus for me is that we saw a car with an Alaskan number plate. I now have 30 states out of the 50 but I do not hold out any hope of seeing an Hawaiian number plate - so 19 to go 😉
Now I will try to add a couple of pictures 🤞
Sadly not happening 😭
Just need to finish packing & then probably be in bed by 10:00 p.m. 🙂😉
Hugs & good wishes to all

I don’t believe it - I have just seen a skunk but didn’t have a camera at the ready 😭😭😭
I will sit outside for another 15 minutes, camera at the ready in case it reappears 🤞
