Evening
RL has been very busy - graduation for DD2 and election duties for 2 long days so decluttering has taken a back seat.
Have continued to declutter emails and also removed myself from a qualification group as I have now passed and the syllabus has moved onPut winter boots away in the bottom of the wardrobe (they had been in a box on the front room floor for 2 weeks) and recycled the box . Threw away old razor and make up sponge.

Hello everyone, this week I evicted myself from the TLC carriage and I have given half a bag of clothes etc to the cs, I failed to fill it but it was better than nowt as they didn't want any bric-a-brac 😕 ......I am still collecting that ! Anyway out went 2 new black bras ( I don't normally buy black but they came as a pair with white ones and I was unable to buy the white ones I wanted on their own 😠 ) Another handbag has gone too, I still have 4 but I'm working on getting down to 3 ! Gone loungewear, the top and bottom, an itchy jumper ( I've washed it but it remains the same ) 2 long sleeved nightie's as I prefer short sleeves or strappy ones, even in mid winter. Into the rag bag 2 pairs of knickers, sans elastic and I binned 1 pair of my Sunday socks. 2 magazines were put in the recycling.
We had the DGC for a sleepover on Friday night, so lots of food was decluttered. I should employ them as vacuums as they hoover everything up, they're like baby birds with their ever open mouths 🐣 🤣 DGD went home with a large bag of hair accessories, scrunchies, slides, claw clips etc as I no longer need them and some items were brand new. DD collected the DGC, her parcel and a new book ( I hadn't had the time to read it yet and I still have lots on my Paperwhite to read first ) "
I tackled a frog and took up Dad's PJ bottoms, they've been looking at me for about a week 😳 Today I've started on another frog, painting my metal patio set ! The table and the chair seats have had their first coat and I hope to do the chair backs and the second coat tomorrow. This has been on my decorating list since 2019, feels like only another 99 to go 😱
Accidentalglixch sorry you've had the run around about the jobs, hopefully something suitable will turn up soon.
Take care all, look after yourselves.

PS congrats to DDFDreamer for passing and also to your DD2 for graduating 🎓Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently11 -
@nannywindow - thank you so much
I actually passed my qualification 10 months ago but it has taken me this long to get round to removing myself from the study group !!LBM - October 2018; finally debt free on 16 March 2021

@Floss thanks for the encouragement.
A couple of good walks with friends, DD1 and DD2 very stressed with exams and return to uni (after recovery from accident) so I'm practicising biting my tongue and decluttering comments, and trying to spread calm!
Big frog done - forms & attachment for accident claim (fingers crossed for something but as driver left the scene unlikely) counting as 4
Tidying up, paint pot out and few bits of paper 739
Mrs SD I am being more generous with counting
Found myJoseph trousers (CS a few year ago) slightly odd flare so think will pass on - want them to suit me as never have posh clothes but heyho.
@Deni_debt-free_dreamer well done on removing yourself from the list, hope graduation went well for DD
Hoping a good start to the week for everyone x11 -
1. Write a daily To Do list - only 5 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉
4. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Sunday was dry, sunny & warm all day although the temperature plummeted when the sun went down. DSis has been in her room all day apart from making hot drinks & having dinner. DH photographed my passport & took a short video of me repeating a code to set up my NHS Account - I have been accepted 🙂 DH had a bath. I managed to find some GUAG 👏 Found the US adaptor plugs, charging cables, my small camera - battery now fully charged and best of all I discovered we had a rather healthy amount of US Dollars (had forgotten we had them left over from our January 2020 holiday in the Dominican Republic) 🥳 Next task was to empty the 5 shelves in my wardrobe - ✅ Have made a note of all the spare toiletries we have (to be added to notebook) + binned quite a few opened lotions & potions - ood & not worth the risk of using 😉 Found sunscreen & an in-date supply of rehydration sachets - both useful for our trip 👏 Tomorrow I will sort out my clothing, decide what to take & repack the rest of my wardrobe shelves. Dinner was hm spaghetti Bolognese 🤤 Wudupa.
791 - 796 Kitchen recycling, 4 magazines, plastic takeaway box & lid - recycled
797 - 805 Kitchen detritus, 3 opened well ood shampoos/conditioner, 3 opened ood bottles of sunscreen, opened hair gel, opened ood face cream - binned
Thanks for the cleaning tip, florianatwobob 👏 We all need the expertise of a Mummy Floriana 😉
Nice to see you accidentalglixch 👋 Sorry to hear that the job search is still ongoing 😔 Very sanguine attitude to misadvertising - not sure I would have the same attitude 😖 Excellent decluttering by both you & hubby 👏 - a medal 🏅🏅 for each of you 🙂 Wishing you lots of good fortune in tracking down a new job 🍀
weenancyinAmerica, I don’t know where you find the energy to do so much 🤩 Excellent electronic decluttering 👏 I am wishing you success in finding all your roommate’s possessions - she is lucky that you came into her life which hopefully makes up in a small but significant way for all the hardships in her life. Sending heartfelt wishes that she will now be settled & happy. How is the husky’s training coming along? Wonderful work on so many different genealogies 👏 Can I have permission to PM you?
Deni_debt-free_dreamer, congratulations to DD2 🥳 & thank you for volunteering for election duties 👏 Great work on electronic decluttering 👏 & putting away winter boots before they became a frog task 😉
nannywindow, ‘evicting yourself from the TLC Carriage’ that comment did bring a smile 😃
Excellent decluttering - your time in the TLC Carriage has fully recharged your life batteries 👏 Very impressed that you have tackled one frog & have started on a huge frog - one medal 🏅 on its way 🙂
Excellent work TC77 👏 Everything crossed that dealing with the insurance frog yields a positive outcome 🤞

Hi all, today I have thrown out the blind from the bathroom, it kept falling down and I got to the s*d it stage so rather than fix it again I just put it in the bin. Another load of washing dried on the line, next doors plants watered as lovely neighbour is away for a few days and I cleaned out and topped up her little solar water feature which had got very green.
I had a very long phone conversation with a work friend who has been off work since the end of January but I only found out a couple of weeks ago. We weren't that close, she had much closer friends and I had assumed they would be keeping in touch with her. It transpires they haven't so I have suggested we meet for a coffee next week if she is up to it. Hopefully she will be.
As the weather picked up this afternoon I also did a small amount of weeding but you wouldn't really notice as there is so much to do but I did start to feel a little spark of motivation being out in the sunshine.
Tomorrow OH has an appointment with a blood specialist over on the wirral so I am going along and we are then going to meet a friend for a coffee or lunch depending what time OH gets finished. If it's a nice day we might get a walk on the beach.
Oh yes on Friday I finally managed to get an appointment with the podiatrist. They have a strange system of only releasing appointments at odd times and you just have to keep calling and hoping. The receptionist actually said "we haven't seen you for a while" because I haven't been able to get an appointment was my reply
Take care everyone11 -
@TC77 we hadn’t been to the V&A for a while. I think the last one we saw was the Winnie the Pooh exhibition but before that we’d not been for yonks, maybe the Hollywood Costumes exhibition (also amazing). Some of the Faberge items had been lent by the Kremlin Museum and I did wonder if they’d have been lent if the current situation that side of the world had commenced earlier.@Mrs_Salad_Dodger Mummy Floriana was a font of information, some useful, some very obscure 😉✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

@florianatwobob and @Baxtersmum agree about salt and cold water for blood stains - used when I was a kid and I tell my girls to use it - the other thing is biotex - great for blood and grass stains out of cricket whites etc. I do forget about it but excellent9

I think I'm back... Tired and a really annoying 'bark', but I'm getting there. I know I'm amazed at the amount of activity that's been happening! I've been reading but that's about all. I do hope everyone either struggling with their own situation or helping loved ones sees light at the end of the tunnel soon.Briefly, I went to the Nick Mason gig. Excellent and very retro. In fact, I'm pretty sure some of the back projections were originally used at Uni discos
We met up with DD as planned. If you're ever in Edinburgh and need a good gluten-free pizza, may I recommend Made in Italy on Grassmarket?
Stayed overnight at a very disappointing Travelodge at Kinross services. We've often stopped off to break the journey down south (and once stopped overnight due to fog and ice), but it's gone really downhill. The room was clean and comfortable BUT wifi was an extra £3, no shower gel, no hairdryer (luckily we were only c 2 hours from home). DS said his room was the same, so not an oversight. And the cooked breakfast we'd expected to have didn't happen (good job we didn't cough up £5.50 extra each) because the signposted restaurant has gone, leaving a choice of Costa or Burgerking. As DS is Type 1 diabetic, we had snacks just in case, but we weren't impressed, even if there was a sweetener of 20% discount on production of our key fobs. Luckily DS knew of a really good family bakery - cheap, amazing choice and only half an hour away in Dundee.Despite the overnight stop I've been pretty wiped out ever since. As I used to drive there and back quite regularly for the Christmas Market, gigs, afternoon meetings or to see DD at Uni it's a bit frustrating.Oops! Not very brief was it? Sorry, but I needed to vent a bit and it may be useful info if you ever travel up this way.Anyway, onwards and forwards (up requiring energy I still haven't got!)DD's up at weekend for our annual Eurovision Party. We've even done it via Skype when she's been away, but this year it's in person again! Her former bedroom is the Room of Doom, so I have to rearrange the living room to set up a temporary bed in there. Normally she'd just sleep at her dad's - which is how the RoD developed- but is willing to make the sacrifice so we can both have a glass of wine!
So... There's a stack of ironing that needs to be done, plus a general tidy. The big job is that, now I can manage ladders again, I need to finish pigeon-proofing the verandah. Plus - if time - finish reorganising the kitchen. Both jobs I was half way into when Covid hit and really haven't felt up to since.I'm going in. Wish me luck.A budget is like a speed sign - a LIMIT not a TARGET!!

My mother used to use milk on stains - especially blood or ink. It really works. Biotex is good too - though, like you, I forget about it. Must get some...
