Mrs S_D - where in the LA area are you going? Our weather out here is trying to decide if it is Spring or Summer. Be prepared for both. Though that means temperatures over 18 degrees Celsius minimum. Supposed to be 30-40 degrees Celsius in the middle of this week. We are having May Grey followed by June Gloom. Even if it looks gray and cloudy, it won't rain. Usually cleans by mid-afternoon. Most of us don't even have umbrellas. If you are heading to Disneyland around the 20th of May, the Anaheim Library is right down Harbor Boulevard a couple of miles and is having a Book Sale that day from 10:30 to 4:00.
Still cleaning out the Room and working on the yard. The husky tried to put the bicycle in the pool and managed to get the rubber off the front tire. Fortunately the good bicycle is hidden away in the storage room. The kitchen has to have a thorough going over next. Only have a bread board for working on right now - too many people trying to use the same space - only one of whom actually cooks. Actually have too much food in the house so taking bags to the food bank every week until we get down the amount. What family needs twenty plus boxes of cereal - which no one eats! 5 open boxes of Cocoa Pebbles (something like that) and the one person who eats them hasn't touched them in the last few months - those will have to be thrown away. They just think they will eat breakfast - and then they either skip it or eat out, mainly because no one besides me gets up before noon. The two who work at Disneyland work from 4 or 5 in the evening till 12:30 or 1:00 am, the other two just don't like going to bed early or getting up early. Nice and quiet here for me, the two dogs and two cats, and the two outside feral cats, in the mornings. That's when I get most of the cleaning done. This morning I did the work for my classes instead (PowerPoint and Microsoft Office).12 -
Managed to do the vegetable baskets shelf last night, chucked out lots of onion skins, old onions growing new shoots ,lids without boxes, boxes without lids. a plastic pan supposed to a pressure cooker of some sort which was rubbish, never worked.Packed some spare mugs in a casserole dish, instead of perching precariously on top of various things. Freed up enough space to pack away my blender, which has been sitting on the window sill in my cupboard under the stairs for a year since I couldnt find space in the kitchen! :)Now a spare kettle can adorn that windowsill instead. It will no long be a menace I fall over when I search for something in that cupboard. You need danger money and assault training or climbing skills to brave that cupboard..........Now completed sorting 4/6 of my kitchen drawers. Next will be the cutlery drawer. I removed quite a bit of stuff, but the cutlery,(which is rarely used since I keep the stuff we use eveyday elsewhere) definitely looks very dull, needs a good clean. Maybe tonight I'll do it.13

Hello all, I've been dipping in and out of the TLC carriage for the past week ( just to check what cakes were on offer of course and I've left some custard ice slices for everyone today 🤤) but I'm going to have to live with my up/down days now and do what I can, when I can, which is so frustrating for me.
Not much decluttering has happened lately except the daily stuff and the weekly bin collection because of my lack of energy, which I must have decluttered too, but today I have done all the washing and hung it out, unfortunately the weather is being a bit temperamental but at least it's warm. I did manage to put out another bag of previously shredded documents for recycling on Monday as it's "only one extra bag per collection please !" 🙄 ( 2 now gone )
We had to go out this morning as DH had his oncology injection first thing and we visited the garden centre afterwards for a lovely breakfast, DH had a full english but it's too much for me to eat so I had poached eggs on toast washed down with a pot of tea. A few items fell into my basket as they now have local farmers area for produce, but at least it's super fresh. Two dianthus plants, love the scent of those and a replacement rosemary plant were also purchased, so some money has been decluttered from my purse. Sadly I seem to have decluttered one of my resident collared doves this morning, don't know if it was Sonny or Cher who bit the dust, but the hawk must have had a breakfast feast as there are feathers everywhere in the garden 😥
Sorry I haven't kept up with the thread but I hope everyone is doing well.
Take care all

Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently12 -
1. Write a daily To Do list - only 5 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉
4. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Tuesday stayed quite overcast with occasional glimpses of blue sky but warmed up considerably 🙂 DH filled all the bird & squirrel feeders & emptied the old compost from the tabletop garden bed whilst waiting for me to get ready 😉 DH & I left the house just after 1:00 p.m. Got the DLR to Lewisham & then DH nipped into a barbershop whilst I went to the shoe shop. D*ichm*nn was a revelation to me - great choice of shoes/trainers/sandals, friendly & professional staff & everything well laid out 🙂 Sadly the shoes I had chosen online, although lovely were not comfortable - too narrow in the toes ☹️ By the time I had tried on the shoes DH appeared newly shorn & we picked out some men’s shoes with a rounder toe section - tried them on - so comfortable & still smart with the added advantage that they do not look particularly masculine 🙂 Not leather ☹️ but the silver lining was that I could buy 2 pairs & a polish for less than the price of my original choice 🥳 Then popped into Post Office to post cards & competition entry then went into M+S where I bought a pair of slippers & then picked up lasagne & garlic bread for dinner. To celebrate a productive & successful day out DH & I went to the pub - not that we need a reason 🤣 Warm enough to sit outside - had a few drinks which DH paid for as they are now a cashless establishment & chatted & relaxed. The added bonus was that alcohol acted as an anaesthetic for DH’s tingly/painful arm 😉😉 Had a chat with a very interesting lady who was on holiday with her DH 🙂 Home just before 6:00 p.m., made & drank coffee & then both of us nodded off 😱 & woke up 2 hours later 😔 By the time the lasagne & garlic bread was cooked it was almost 9:00 p.m. 😣 Wudupa. As an aside, the money I used to pay for the shoes & slippers was part of the money I saved up on last year’s 1p Savings Challenge 🥳
755 - 757 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, newspaper - recycled
758 - 759 Kitchen detritus, old holey slippers - binned
Wednesday is a mixed day of weather - overcast, sunshine & blue sky, a few spots of rain & now dry but very dark. Hopefully the heavens will open & the garden will get watered 🤞. DH ordered a paper copy of my vaccination status which arrived this morning 👏
Straight into cheerleading 🙂
Excellent decluttering GrannyKate 👏 Good luck with the frogs 🍀 Btw have you seen the new thread A Frog a Week Equals a Special Treat 2022? Very interesting & I will be investigating when we get back from our holiday.
Good work EnergyShifter 👏 Yippee to the new shredder 🥳
Excellent work on the frogs GrannyKate 👏 Sounds like you are enjoying planning your holiday - lovely to have something to look forward to 🙂😊
Great work short_bird 👏
Excellent work TC77 especially moving a frog along 👏 So much praise for Liverpool - DH & I will have to investigate.
weenancyinAmerica, we arrive midnight 17th then have 18th free & half of the 19th free in LA - recovering from the flight, meet & greet party on the 19th with our tour guide & the other riders & picking up the motorbike. (I would love to meet up so may I PM you to arrange something) Next day we head off to Palm Springs then Laughlin, Grand Canyon National Park, Monument Valley, Bryce National Park, Las Vegas, Mammoth Lake, El Portal (Yosemite National Park), San Francisco, Monterey, Pismo Beach & back to LA for the farewell party & our flight home. The husky sounds like she is making herself at home 😉 you didn’t tell us she was trying to learn to ride a bicycle in the pool 😂
Still working hard - I hope you are not exhausting yourself & are remembering to treat yourself to some TLC 😉 Is the Room almost finished now? Is ANYONE helping you with the food clearance or are they still relying on you to deal with everything? I just want to whisk you away for a few days to a nice spa retreat where you can be pampered & just do things for your enjoyment.
Excellent decluttering & rearranging dustydigger 👏 Perhaps once the cutlery is clean it could be brought into every day use - you deserve to be using your nice cutlery 🙂
Lovely to see you nannywindow 😊 So sorry to hear that you are not feeling well & are getting frustrated by the ups & downs ☹️ However you are dealing with it correctly by spending time in the TLC Carriage as & when you need it 👏 The custard ice slices sound yummy 🤤 Reminds me I should make a lemon cheesecake & maybe some Melting Moments biccies 😉 Well done on keeping up with the daily decluttering & getting shot of the shredding 👏 Lovely to hear that your DH enjoyed his Full English 🙂 I am like you - if it is too early in the day I would have poached eggs on toast but I do have a real fondness for a Full English 😉 Nature can be so cruel - hope the hawk has moved on 🤞 Please take care & I am sending get well wishes to you & putting in a request with the Energy supplier to send some your way 🙂

So little time at the moment trying to juggle full time work and two little ones. Feel a bit out of control, but been trying to do some digital decluttering in the evenings as it makes me feel slightly more under control and slightly less stressed.
My inbox is still very slowly going down, but not made it under 100 yet. I’ve also been doing bits and pieces on the passwords list, but that’s going to be a very long haul! Might tackle that one more once my inbox is under control. This week’s decluttering efforts:330-331 - apps deleted
332-342 - digital bookmarks deleted (there’s a lot more where they came from!)
343-349 - very old digital bank statement deleted
350-368 - digital notes deleted (totally forgot about these. I’m forever making random notes for a, but forget to delete them)2025 decluttering: 3,5045🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅
