Well, after a week doing nothing - hands curled up so couldnt write, barely type, and spent most of the time lying down to rest my rotten knee. Deleted quite a few texts, emails etc,but that was it.Hand is mostly uncurled now,and Ican limp on the leg - though it keeps buckling unexpectedly..Tomorrow will attempt to clear out the vegetable baskets in the cupboard. I have numerous onion skins and old potatoes with spouting eyes, and empty bags etc. Very grotty!I have been too dizzy or have had painful back pain so often couldnt force myself to do it.I will try to do small amounts of cleaning and tidying the kitchen cupboards this week.

Chopped lots of ivy yesterday evening(lost my scissors as they slipped from my hands and it was too dark to see the pavement. A bit more chopping and sawing this morning and then cut it up small - used all the green bins (part filled) as none of the neighbours seemed to be using them and they were all in the backs.
7 rubble sacks worth binned so far plus some small pyracantha branches and a thick rope of ivy stem. Plus bags/ sacks of paper, washing up, recycling. cans, charity shop, rubbish and books to go back to the library. green bin stuff (apple cores and orange peel) is in with the washing up and will sort it out downstairs. A load of washing went in and more has been dried outside. Washing line poles arrive on Wednesday, still have to decide on replacement fence, garden gate and posts - may hang on for a while as probate should come through soon and I could pay someone to do it - not as though I am short of things to do.
Hunted through the medicine 'pack' and found a small antiseptic cream, so can hold off on buying more for a week or two. Tried on all my 'too small' clothes and can get in them all. A couple made my magnificent bosom look strange but will keep them a while and see if they look better when I lose a little more weight. Identified 3 navy, one black and one blue dress that can go instead plus a couple that are just rags. 3 are already being used for painting and messy jobs but will continue wearing them until the holes get to the embarrassing stage (they all have several small holes so I wear a longish tunic over them if I have to go further than the bins.
Medicine sack also had the large bottle of paracetamol so will give that to s-i-l (2 small ones already handed over) plus some vitamin D for my niece (myself and her mother now get it on prescription. Mum couldn't have ibruprofen but paracetamol was okay. She couldn't manage blister packs so I would sit and decant them all into a container she could open.. I find paracetamol upsets me so glad to find someone who can use them..

Well, I'm writing from the TLC carriage - many thanks for the offer of tea etc. I've got some orange and lemon biscottini which I've added to the biscuit tin. GF, no fat, 53/56 kCals each, c 6gms sugar and very nice. Feel free to indulge...Can't claim to have done an awful lot. I'm trying to regain a bit more energy because I'm driving down to Edinburgh on Wednesday. Normally I'd do a round trip - it's only c 130 miles each way - but this time I'm taking my time down and we'll book into a Travelodge overnight and drive back the following morning.DS bought tickets for a Nick Mason gig for my 2019 Christmas present, and it's been rescheduled. I'm looking forward to it, so fingers crossed. It was my birthday on Saturday (while I was still self-isolating) and so we're meeting up with DD in Edinburgh before the gig and she's treating us to a family birthday dinner!Anyway, I've done my daily stuff, so I did a pile of washing up, S&Sed the Kitchen and Bathroom , plus 1 task. Today it was emptying all the bins and cleaning them, which is also a partial declutter if I feel like cheating. The day I tested positive I'd been to the Allotment and wombled a load of chicken wire and heavy duty mesh to finish pigeon-proofing the verandah. Today I actually managed to get down to the car and clear it out of the boot! I did a shopping run to Costco and decluttered a couple of bad films from my Amzn Prime list. So, not much really and I'm still pooped and feeling guilty (for me, but pleased for you!) when I see the amounts other people are getting through.Better get some sleep.Night all...A budget is like a speed sign - a LIMIT not a TARGET!!

EnergyShifter, sounds like you have had a lovely weekend 🙂 As to your decision not to go abroad I wish I could join you 👏 DH & I are off to America in a couple of weeks & I really don’t want to go mostly because of all the faff with PCR tests & having to sign up to the NHS app + dreading the long flight to LA 😔😞 I also don’t think either of us are bike fit ☹️ However the holiday is fully paid for & DH is really, really looking forward to it - so what can I do but grin & bear it 😔
Just woken up after 2 hours asleep on the sofa - so I am off to bed & will finish cheerleading tomorrow 😉

Mrs SD: I'm sure you will enjoy your trip to the US once you get there .... and absolutely agree the faff with travelling feels overwhelming to me at the moment. I admire those who have bit the bullet and are going for it regardless.... I just don't quite have it in me at the moment. x

The gentleman who had stored many household items in our garage and home office has come and picked everything up. He had said it was for 20 days, but stopped replying to husband's messages after 25 days.... Husband got angry, the gentleman hired a garage, and now everything is gone! So much space!

@EnergyShifter, I hope you have a great time at the weekend. It's lovely to hear someone say they like Liverpool. I can't ever see myself living anywhere else but the city did have a hard time in the past, you may remember when Maggie suggested a managed decline, but it pulled itself up by it's boot straps and goes from strength to strength. I have met quite a few tourists over the years who come to the city for various reasons and always seem to love it and plan return visits so it must be doing something right
.
Since I last posted I have decluttered nothing except more money. Saturday was a big shop. OH said we were low on everything, which means that I had defrosted the freezer and had a reorganize as we have 2 small freezers and so there was space in the defrosted freezer. When we looked at the list it wasn't that long but still cost £150 in Mr T. Prices are really going up unfortunately and like everyone else we are going to have to look hard at what we buy. On Sunday I paid for my Wembley ticket
. Yesterday I didn't leave the house apart from putting the bins out. I am going to try to have nsd until the weekend but I will need milk at some point.
Washing is on the line but as the weather is overcast not sure if it is going to dry.
Take care everyone11 -
First rain for absolutely ages overnight so very happy for my garden and allotment.
Nothing out as such but totally destroyed my huge compost pile which hadn't been decluttered for about two years. Disappointed to see old teabags not rotting away properly so pulled them out as I sieved it into a raised bed. We use tea leaves and compostable teabags now so most of the pile was ok. If we filled bags we would have about 350 litres of compost.
Today more tidying garden and allotment and hopefully some seed sowing. Going away to Cheshire Friday for a week with old workmates. Looking forward to that as it will also include a trip to Liverpool.

Hi.Another one grateful for some overnight rain for the garden. Everything will burst into life now.Bit by bit I don’t know if you watch gardeners world. There was a woman on that uses old emptied tea bags on seed heads to catch tiny seeds. I am going to try it on my snakes head fritillary. They are my favourite native plant. I was under the impression that the big teabag makers had changed to biodegradable bags. Perhaps not. I need to read the box.I am itching to get on with the garden but no builder apparent.I too enjoy a trip to Liverpool. Only an hour or so from me. The city centre is very accessible. I particularly enjoyed a few years ago when all Cunard ships were there together. I also enjoy the Tate gallery.Highly recommend Chester too. We go there a lot.I am keeping on top of the house. There are things in the kitchen that could go but I don’t want to make a mess atm to get them out. I am undecided about doing a car boot sale. Can I be bothered?
We are on holiday now for a couple of weeks. Wedding next weekend and Shetland the week after. I am another who isn’t mad about the idea of going abroad yet. Although this year we are stretching ourselves with a trip to Shetland and later in the year Channel Islands. With Covid recovery, I took 6weeks or so to feel back to normal. I was tired and had an ever lasting cough. Make use of the TLC carriage as much as possible.Taking my Mum to the Dr later, driving the new car. Longer than the previous one but I find it easier to drive.Love to all. Vx:13 -

Tuesday is an overcast, cold, dreary day. DH & I will shortly be going out to D*ichm*nn as I need smart shoes 👞- currently only have trainers & hopefully a new pair of slippers. May do other shopping but that will depend on if I am successful with shoe purchase.
Back to cheerleading 🙂
