Phew, at last I feel like I have a few minutes to write a post.
I hope all went well TC77. Xxx
Energy shifter, I am so pleased for your son and your family. So good to hear something positive. Xxx
Best wishes to you Mrs SD for tomorrow. I am sure you will all do your SIL proud. Xxx
The meringue was good. About one of the only puddingy things that I know I can make. The best bit was the home made lemon curd. So, no roofers or plumber 🤦♀️ . The odd job man came and put up a blind in the kitchen, fitted the outside loo door. Put up some trellis, and fitted a new but old door in the sitting room. He is back tomorrow to fit a new old bathroom door. The sitting room door is awaiting some toughened glass panels to be made. I am ridiculously pleased with replacing modern doors with period ones. Once the roof is done and the scaffolding is gone it will really feel like progress.I am still using up stocks of cleaning materials and toiletries. Today we have bought toothpaste for the first time this year! What I am saving there I am keeping B n Q in business. The price of door handles!!!!
Mr V is still hobbling on his broken foot but it is improving.Confession. I am on a no new clothes for a year. Sooooooo difficult for me. Went to the pound chazzer today and bought a scarf. I also bought a tweed like skirt to make a door draft excluder for the front door.I hope you are all ok, especially people who haven’t posted for a while.Vx:12 -
So been a long day , Wednesday is my "day off" as in the day I try to sort the housework without DH under my feet.
Today I decided to get my mums photos (only the ones that she had left in envelopes so I had some rough idea of dates rather than the ones she randomly stashed around the house) into an album. Time flew by and with my head starting to ache I realised I'd been at it for 3 hours. Took a break and for some mad reason decided to tackle the 4 heaped baskets of ironing. I was only going to do an hour whilst having a therapeutic coffee and then take dogs for a walk. An hour in I had made a huge difference, got togged up to take the dogs out and they took one look at the weather and said no
Another hour and ironing finished and put away 👏
Finished album which turned into 2 albums but that will mean she has room to add more photos of grandkids/gt grandkids etc as they are sent to her. I will take them in to her home for her when I can next visit. At the moment they take up less than half the room on the shelf the box that they were in before did so quite a gain
Dead frogs
6 mum's photos
7 ironing mountain
Don't know if it's just a coincidence but I have been sleeping better this week
Hope everyone's had a good day

I've learned to delete extra e-mails every Friday. And I sort the mail when it comes in, including going through magazines, removing articles to read later, and then getting what's left into the trash. Kitchen trash goes out daily (sometimes twice) and recycling goes out twice a week to the bin. Now if I could just get my roommates to clean up their stuff, I would be okay. My main goal is to finish a book I started in the 1960's - talk about a long frog - but as it is on Frugal Living, I have been using the material in my life in the meantime. I just have to find the time around taking people to appointments, taking care of their animals, dealing with an autistic young person who wants to show me strange things on TikTok every hour or so, and cleaning up after other people. Most days I don't get anything written. It's not like I can't finish a book - I have written over 85 genealogy books that are actually out there selling. But most of those were done before the last three years and some need to be updated now. I still help people with their genealogy several days a week as well. There just aren't enough hours in the day, are there?11

evening
no @weenancyinAmerica there are not enough hours in the day at the moment!
I have decluttered some work paperwork by taking it back to the office; shredded lots of paper and deleted about 2000 emails. I sat next to a colleague in a meeting and he couldn't believe i have over 27k in my inboxI keep unsubscribing but it's an uphill battle.
Hope your SiL funeral goes well and is a lovely celebration for her Mrs S_D
Sorry i haven't managed to keep up with everyone's news, life and work should calm down next month (for a bit anyway)

Laptop has been replaced! The only decluttering that has taken place this week (so annoying when work gets in the way) is:

Can I join in?
I'm currently decluttering the house! It's not too bad, but we keep things we don't use/need and always leave things in a mess! My goal is a big declutter and clean, which will hopefully make it easier to keep things tidy.
So far this week the bathroom, hall cupboards and most of the kitchen have been declutteted and deep cleaned. 3 (smallish) bags of rubbish in the bin and a few bits gathered for the CS.
The garden and garage also need tidying, which is probably going to involve a skip at some point.12 -
Good evening.
I haven't managed much at all since I last posted. DH went to put some rails up for DD1 as she only has a week until she's due. I'd been collecting everything here that I'd been adding each week to the shopping order so DH took it all with him.
Today I got fed up of waiting for DH to help me start the utility room (I was to scared to move things because it seems to breed spiders) and braved it myself! The floor was tidied and swept, some things to the bin and way too many spiders disturbed! There's piles of washing to get through but at least I can get in there now to start on the shelves.
As DH went to work I handed him 2 black bags of clothes/shoes that had been sat in the room (had to count them first though 🤣)
