Decluttered my bedroom filled a bin bag with goodness knows what?? I guess that why it is clutter we can do without it. Decluttered memories from the floor into picture frames and hung on the wall - it's only taken me 6 years.

Well yesterday didn't go as planned but i guess in that sense it went as expected Trying to sort rather than declutter so printer moved off desk leaving me with room to work, 4 screwdrivers moved from pen pot to box in hall cupboard (no idea how they ended up in pen pot) and surprisingly I still managed -
declutter 1-7 3 mags, 2 christmas cards, pot of ink and a LFT Dead Frog 1 - parcel to DD packaged up and ready to go
Aiming to zap 5 more frogs today - fingers crossed!
This week I have decluttered the washing basket and stripped the bed then washed the bedding, it was all washed, line dried and now put away. I have finally sorted my meds, I hope, after having to ring the surgery and pharmacy and back again, one said they'd sent it and the other not received it 😡 Hate having the pass the buck attitude, own up for goodness sake ! I'd rather that as mistakes can happen. Rant over, sorry. I have recycled a cardboard box and a plastic cover which contained some new craft knives for DH, he's making yet more stables for DGD, she's mad on horses and goes riding every week 🐴🏇 Costs a fortune to buy the schleich stuff. Also gone the box paper filler which I would have normally smoothed down and kept for Justin 🤨. Out too an empty men's talc tin and anti perspirant tin, several carrier bags and the fruit containers from an online sm shop, I've kept some bags though to act as bin liners for the upstairs bins, waste not want not. A glass coffee jar, the contents now decanted into my coffee tin and a sauce bottle has gone in the recycling box too. Hope everyone is well, sincere hugs if not. Take care all nan
Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently
1. Write a daily To Do list - only 5 tasks 2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays. 3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉 4. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Saturday was a mainly dryish day. A nice surprise - the very full recycling wheelie bin was emptied - only 2 days late 😉 DH dismantled the kitchen mixer tap - he found all his specialist tools - a flexible mirror, an angled screwdriver & a hooked implement to get the o-ring off but the most useful item was a smear of Nutella 😉 Yes you are reading that correctly 😂 The tiny screw holding the curved portion of the tap in place, was recessed & although easy enough to undo was difficult to get out of the recess 😔 a dab of Nutella on the screwdriver head was enough for the screw to stick to 😉 DH then pulled out the tap & removed the o-ring & headed out to BandQ. I gave the bits a clean & took the opportunity to use the screwdriver to tighten a pan handle - my DIY for the year 😂 Getting the tap (with its new o-ring) back in place took quite some time - more Nutella required 😉 - but was eventually successful - no more leak 🥳 MotoGP has started again so DH has been watching the practice & qualifying sessions. I have been watching more TV including a rather interesting & enjoyable live action version of Pinocchio - in Italian with English subtitles. Dinner was lo cottage pie with broccoli and cauliflower for DH & DSis whilst I had a cheese, lettuce & tomato sandwich. Wudupa.
353 - 356 Kitchen recycling, glass jar (the Nutella one which had been on the side waiting to be washed 😉), large bag of office recycling, plastic jar - recycled 357 - 358 Kitchen detritus, plastic packaging - binned
Sunday has started bright & sunny but very windy & chilly 🥶 DH is watching the MotoGP races & I am watching Raiders. Having had 2 lazy days, I promise I will cross off at least a couple of the tasks on my To Do list - wish me luck 🍀
GrannyKate, thanks for the student digs story 😉👏 at least you weren’t bored 😂 Great work on dealing with frogs 👏
EnergyShifter, that is very good news about DS 🙂 as you say one day at a time. I am wishing you every ounce of luck that you need 🍀 Keep up the good work with your Lent pledge 👏
Nice to see you shabbychic12 👋 Hope your dad is happily settled in his new home 🙂 Well done on the decluttering & sale 👏
Well done on making the best of a lovely day Baxtersmum 👏 Love the idea of you & your pup both being crossed with a sloth 🦥 🤣 However it sounds like it is working & you are feeling better & getting into a helpful routine 🙂
Welcome aboard The EDT kscour 👋 I for one am very pleased to see you 🙂 You have taken your first step coming out from behind the curtains 👏 A lovely new home, a garage being built & now aboard The EDT with like minded declutterers 🙂 As you are just starting out, perhaps half hour bursts of activity to get into the swing of decluttering. Do remember to give yourself small rewards after each decluttering session. Decluttering is a marathon not a sprint 😉 and there will be times when your motivation flags. However we are all here to offer support & encouragement 🙂 Good luck with decluttering your office 🍀
EnergyShifter, sounds like a productive conversation with your DS & well done for starting the process 👏 Excellent decluttering 👏
Lovely to see you Thrifty_Taylor 👋 Excellent decluttering & you have earned your 2nd Gold Star ⭐️ - you are well over half way to your target 👏
Good work florianatwobob 👏 especially dealing with the ironing mountain 👏
Great decluttering Blackberrycurved 👏 especially dealing with a 6 year old Frog 😉😁
Great work short_bird 👏 You obviously danced too much at The Echo & the Bunnymen concert hence your tiredness 😉
Baxtersmum hope you manage to clutter some concert tickets 🤞
An excellent start to your decluttering journey, kscour 👏 Sorting counts as decluttering as does returning items to their correct locations 🙂👏
Excellent decluttering nannywindow 👏 You are perfectly entitled to have a rant about something so important. The culture of passing the buck comes from the top down & is making our lives a misery 😖 I understand that we can all be occasionally guilty of this but at least here on the MSE forum we are all self aware & try very hard to accept responsibility rather than blaming others. Sorry, rant over 😔 Great decluttering 👏 The
schleich stuff is beautiful & your DGD has great if expensive taste 😉

Fantastic decluttering everyone. What were you all eating off @weenancyinAmerica??
I had a delivery of Christmas stuff form a friend for the CS and also the CS gave me two more huge bags to put in theloft. I have said no to anymore. Anyway. I sorted through it all, repacked it into manageable and a more protective way for the delicates. To go in the loft later.
Out goes two bags of unusable stuff from my friend and 5 bags given last week for the CS to the CS ( in and outs so not counted)
Vacuumed up all the glitter and bits so lounge tidy.
I have some 'paperwork' to do online tonight including my nieces birthday photos from her birthday trips to Bournmouth and Southampton last month. I feel progress is being made and am allowing myself a few days off to visit DB3 in Blackpool in the week.
I am taking his some plants and starting to arrange his 'garden' ; a long narrow empty concrete area. Think blank canvas.
Right- back to clearing my desk now.

bit_by_bit - we were taking turns using the forks, washing our dishes as we went. She ended up needing 8 loads of washing - and there is still more in her room! Still having problems getting roommate who brought in husky to play with the dog. Roommate did try to clean up some in the yard. We have decluttered at least 50 items from the yard - mostly to keep things away from the dog who likes for break-up plastics pots and rip pillows to shreds. But making some progress getting rooms cleaned up. At least ten bags of bottles and cans ready to go to recycler's on Monday. We have at least one bag of trash going out every day now for the non-recycling bin as people clean up. Have gotten rid of their mail that has been sitting there for several months even.
