@Liverpool_Anne how serendipitous to find window fitters just when you need their advice! Fingers crossed that your window is fixed quickly.
I have someone coming to look at my ‘bath panel challenge’ today. We have a wonderful cast iron bath at least 60 years old and possibly closer to 90 as it may be the original bath. Whilst it is a wonderful bath to have a soak in the bath panel isn’t a standard size as it was manufactured to imperial measurements rather than metric. If I can get a new panel fitted in the near futurethat will be one frog gone.
Anyway having someone coming to look at the panel did prompt a tidy up of the bathroom cabinet.
Two bars of wrapped soap to join the ongoing charity bag.

Not much progress here - dentist just rang to move my appointment from next week to this afternoon. More money will be decluttered.
253 Pile of newspapers out in today's recycling. I only buy one on occasional Saturdays but seem to have collected 4 0r 5 weeks worth including all the supplements. 254 Kitchen timer that doesn't work (why did I keep it?) battery recycled and timer binned 255 Committee done - papers recycled 256 All emails dealt with and saved or deleted 257 Thorough kitchen clean started again. Cupboards are tidy so easy to just wipe out and replace things in their home. Doing cupboard doors inside and out as lots of sticky marks. 258 Out of date food.
Somebody asked about changes to stamps. There is a link in Martin's latest email to an article explaining the changes to using bar coding and the issues with any stamps people may have in hand.
Hi all, @florianatwobob serendipity indeed Window repair man has been and is returning on Saturday to do the job Load of washing on the line, good stiff breeze here with blue skies so it is great drying weather, too good to waste I feel a good day is happening Take care everyone
My extraordinarily posh handyman (very well spoken and lives in a Grade 2 listed house in one of the villages) came today and is off to do his research on how best to tackle the ‘bath panel challenge’.
He appears to have accepted the challenge.
I shall be keeping my eye out today for a man in high viz so I can ‘chat him up’ The gas supply pipes are being upgraded and I’d really like them to move the meter if possible from its current location at the same time…….

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 5 tasks 2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays. 3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉 4. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Thank you all for your condolences & kind thoughts.
Wednesday started bright & sunny but gradually became darker & darker until the rain came ☹️ Another day of watching the Olympics & clearing down TV planner but I did manage one item off my To Do list 😉 Underside of kitchen double cupboard degreased & thoroughly dried & affixed 2 mini light bars. Even has a little remote control 😉 Dinner was baked salmon fillets, boiled potatoes & sweetcorn 😋 Wultdpa.
Thank you 2Scratters. Excellent decluttering 👏 and one medal 🏅 coming your way for getting DH aboard The EDT 🙂
Thank you bit_by_bit. As to your comment - remember cleaning & tidying IS a major part of decluttering so well done & keep up the good work 👏
Will be back shortly 😉 I had forgotten to write a shopping list for DH 😬
Good work EnergyShifter 👏
stellata, not sure I would be so sanguine 😉 Very pleased to hear that ‘like with like’ is working so well for you 🙂 Rather than feeling worn down you should be feeling very proud of yourself - you are persevering 👏
Thank you for such a lovely post Liverpool_Anne. We are reminiscing, looking at old photos & talking about M to my DSis who only met her a few times. We are so grateful that it wasn’t a protracted process.
I love your observations about stellata’s ex & very politely expressed 🤣 Excellent news about the car, a serendipitous outcome to your window problem 🤞& very well done on making progress with your banking frog 👏
Nice to see you sumb7170 👋 sorry that work has ‘interfered’ with your decluttering 😉 🙃 Excellent decluttering, tidying, dealing with frogs & reducing your To Do list 👏 as well as mending the XMas decorations 👏 You must have been working in your sleep to get so much done 😉
florianatwobob, Fingers crossed that your bath panel ‘Challenge’ can be resolved quickly & at a reasonable cost 🤞
GrannyKate, very unusual to have a dentist appointment brought forward 😉 Great decluttering 👏 but a shame about the ood food ☹️ I did read Martin’s email article - I think it is a huge con to milk more money out of us especially if they are going to make exchanging old stamps so difficult 😡 Rant over 🙂
Great news about the window Liverpool_Anne 🙂 Hope your day continues to be a good one 😄
florianatwobob, Very jealous about your posh handyman 😉 although I love my handyman to pieces (after all he is my husband 🤣) You devil you - chatting up men in high viz jackets 😂

Can I join in? Both my partner and I left our previous relationships and have moved into rental. My ex brought my stuff up and put in storage which I luckily collected a month before lockdown 2020.His ex back tracked on promised items, even those we had in writing, and put the rest in the garden shed late 2019, so now his house is almost sold (waiting exchange of contracts) we will need to collect it all very soon and it's a bit daunting.
Having just sorted through all of mine for the past 2 years and still having toys, baby clothes, videos, books that I didn't want to part with (yet) I'm not looking forward to going through it all again with his possessions.
Today I ordered a lovely wicker log basket, which is the 'exact' measurements required to fit a gap next to the tv for all his paperwork- It was shouting out at me really. Its a small house and it already feels crowded so wise use of space is a must.
38 clothing tags into the recycling, really not sure why I kept them, some had spare buttons attached so they’ve gone into the sewing box
Large amount of pennies Decluttered on a trip to Rome with my soon to be DiL, we were meant to go pre covid and have finally plucked up courage to rebook 🇮🇹
Lots off puppy pads Decluttered this week as she seems to be going through a teenage defiance phase and weeing half on half off them.
Had a lovely nana nap this afternoon, eating from stores and a NSD, trying to embrace my disability and sleep when I need it.
Have a lovely evening all. X
